wtf...burn???

my plant is 2 weeks into flowering and just recently i have had a 23 watt cfl light with a reflector pointing at the side of my plant so the buds on the side can get some light. i just noticed this horrible sight today and need to know wats wrong. my theory is burns from the light cuz its mostly just on that side.






please someone help!!!

I can't imagine a little cfl could do that, but if you had it too close for too long, it could happen. make sure to trim off those dead leaves.

shit. alright.. thanks. think it looks like a burn tho? and i just transplanted her an hour ago so is it going to be too much stress trimming it too. should i wait a couple days to trim it???

If the bulb was not touching the leaves, it was not from the bulb. Is that the only place it is doing it on the plant?
If it is happening in other places, it looks like it may be a P def. Take a look at this link, it may tell you what is going on.

how will i help it if it gets worse?? and is that too much stress if i trim it after it just got transplanted?

You can trim the leaves today. As long as you are not disturbing the rootball, banging the plant around, etc, you are not stressing the plant all that much. If you are ripping apart the root ball because its rootbound, it will cause some stress, but otherwise, don't worry about it.
Also, next time you flower, put them in their final pot size before your flower. The plants will stretch more and yeild more if they are in their bigger pots.

thats wat i was thinkin. im just kinda goin with it an watchin it grow. its my first plant so im just learnin from my mistakes for next time. and bonz.. ph of the water or soil?? not sure bout the soil but i had a ph problem b4 so i got some ph down and starting filling jugs of water and fixing the ph. the water i used to use was 8 - 8.2 and now i keep it around 6

Just remember your nutes will lower the pH a lot. My tap water starts at about 8 and by the time all my nutes are added I'm down to 5.3-5.8 which is way too low for soil. Make sure to pH your water after the nutes have been added. And I would suggest 6.5-7.0 for pH. 6.0 is a tad low.
Your pH problems may have caused all this by locking out nutes and whatnot. Check the pH of your runoff water and see waht that is. This will give you an idea of what you soil pH is at.

best ph range for soil is between 6.3 and 6.8. the nutes are more avaliable in that range, same with soil up to 7.
if you had a ph issue before it dosn`t work just adjusting your water ph you need to fix the soil for best results.

i transplanted today n used potting soil so i should be fine. i guess ill have to wait n see

good wet/dry watering schedule will maintain good ph levels in soil

feel the dry non watered pot now watet to get run off then weigh it and remember that. now let it dry up almost to the point of wilt. then water again. you want to water the day before it wilts kind of. they like it a bit dryer.

You should be giving your plant nutes even if they are in "potting" soil as you call it. All soil made for containers is potting soil, it is used to pot plants, thus is called potting soil.
What kind of soil is it? If it is time release, this is not a very good thing to have for MJ. The time release does not release the nutes when you want them to, and it is hard to flush the soil.
I use Ocean Forest soil, which many would call a "hot" soil. Once the plants are mature and are being transplanted, I still feed them when I transplant. Not using nutes is not a good idea. Plants are the only organism that can create their own food, but its not a efficient as giving them the nutrition they need.

woord. sounds right. and im using premium nature mix. it contains peat moss, humus, perlite, and compost.

nutes help yes but are not necessary. just read the plant it will tell you if its hungry.
some dont like nutes some do. it`s your grow use them if you want. it`s not as easy as pouring them in and it will work. read about micro and macro nutes and learn before jumping in.
