Would this brand of coco coir and perlite be okay to use ?

Since canna coco and coco/perlite premixed bags are so expensive.. would it be okay to use these brands / products ? If so, how much cal mag would I have to buy / use to buffer it ? And how should I rinse the coco ? Thanks

Yes you can use that coco and perlite. Different brands of calmag can have different amounts of calcium and magnesium and I've never used calmag in my life so can't help you there. When I rehydrate coco coir bricks I just fill up a tote with 400 - 500 ppm nutrient solution I mix using calcium nitrate and a micronutrient blend and let it expand. Then I just fill the pots and start growing. But not all coco is treated the same. I use Botanicare which has already been buffered.
