Would a 4200K T8 be worth using?

I have a few 4200k T8 2' tubes
would these help the plants at all?
I used them to germ seeds with great result but.....

For veg. That's a bluer temp(similar to a cool white). I usually used 4(t12's) of them side by side for vegging cuttings.

That's sorta what I thought, if I have em laying around and noting to go in the 2' (which is my case and they all came with the 5 I have) so I'll use em till I get better 2' tubes, I'm spending my money on CFL's mainly saving for the 250W ones.... Thanks guys and happy 4th

Yes, Standard Clear Metal Halide is around 4000k, Daylight Metal Halide is around 5500k. See attached chart:

for veg yes, that is a decent amount of light and although the spectrum is not perfect, plants that are vegging do not need the amount of light plants need when flowering, so you should be safe. those would be great for clones. also, dont use it for flowering because well it wont work hardly at all.

yeah I kno it wouldn't for flower, thanks for the nfo.
I just use it for seedlings up to 2 weeks and then it's to another setup and 5850k & 6500k lights.
