To me it looks like they've had an excess of something, to cause the burning, and it looks like you have a severe lock-out. One question to you about your fan leaves stems on the hard faders. I see the dark purple/red of the leaf stem this is a sign of the plant is eating itself up. Do these leaves just fall off or do they stay connected even after the leaf is completely shriveled up???
Yeah pretty hardcore deficiences from some lock-out; they stay on permanently until i pluck them pretty much...thanks for the help!

This afternoon I read through a semi-current Uncle Ben thread, I usually avoid them due to the bickering. But there were a couple of gem links I'd like to share here.

This is a list of agro myths. It specifically deals with landscape plantings but I'm sure many points transfer, and it's written by a PhD on the subject which add some cred to it. http://www.puyallup.wsu.edu/~Linda Chalker-Scott/Horticultural Myths_files/index.html It has made me rethink about the use of bloom enhancers.

This is a list of Nutes that have been pulled from the shelf in Oregon, most are because there isn't full disclosure on the ingredients, some have specific problems. http://www.nwgt.org/showthread.php?7952-What-the-hell-do-people-in-OR-use-for-nutrients Kinda makes you wonder what's really in your nute soup.

I like the idea Moe! I am just startind a new hempy grow...and along side the hempys will be some growing in hempy containers but with ffof soil (except the bottom two inches which will be chunk perlite. Only reason for soil is i have a big bag and am low on perlite.

I will be interested to see the difference in growth , maturity, and flavor. I still have about 2 weeks of veg ahead of me to grow these girls up. I will probably super crop and lightly train my seedlings as they are taller.

I will be glad to journal it and have you link it. Wont know how many of my seedlings are girls until i flip to flower. hoping for 50% female. Which will give me 35 girls. 7 skunk, 7 sandwidow, 6 gods gift, approx 7 maui x blue dream, approx 7 maui x elephant.

Ill make sure and do some soil some perlite of each kind except for the seedlings as they are unknown phenos.

You will pardon how my seedlings look in first week or so of veg as i was very busy during holidays and they were neglected.
Shiva, If you've never run a hempy with a soil cap, I think you'll see several improvements over the straight perlite. I've run several with straight FFoF from 1" above the hole up.

This one turned out really well. But I found that I got the same results with just a 2" soil cap, and perlite being cheaper than soil and recyclable, it pushed me that direction.

So here was the 3 plant hempy. Sure as shit that biggest one in the back was a male. He was surprisingly easy to remove from the perlite, I was expecting to have to leave the roots in there.

The hempy on the right is like 2 weeks younger than the other. Different strains n shit but still growing damn well. The hempy was never topped either but look at the branching!

Good to hear Watt as all of my plants for this round were started in dirt. I will be growimg some with just a soil core and some with all ffof except the reservoir which will be chunky perlite. Im excited to try it.

These boys I sell for their product smells delish but idk if its the way they cure or what but their smoke isn't so strong. They cute using those daisy curing rack tube things... So much for the thousands they spent on advanced

Back to cloning for a second. I checked on my clones this morning and see that the qrazy train is an amazingly fast rooter! That being said, for some reason it seems these heating mats always keep the middle warm and toasty and the outside areas are colder and wet. Anyone has a solution to this problem or a bigger and better heating mat they use?

Edited:

Solution to my problem, pull out the 2 CFLs for light and replace with the 250 watt mh above high. Temps in a better range!

Hey WoH,
I'm itching to start my next hempy in earnest and wanted to see about advice, for those of you who enjoy planning a grow. I can start a new thread (let me know moebius) that can be linked to the hempy grow links thread that was just started (thanks world.of.hempy!), or we could do it right here (but that seems like it'll clog things up).
I'm just planning on listing my limitations and getting as much feedback as possible on good routes to take.
Get back at me if you're interested and I'll start the thread!

Dank ... Clones root best under weaker light. ... A 250w may be too much, the clone will want to grow itself, as opposed to just growing roots.

I'm guessing youre talking about 'propagator cloning'. Do you have that piece of material that sits above the heatpad? Its supposed to be kept moist to dissipate the heat evenly.

I don't think so. What does it look like?

Edited:

I have the 250w MH far above the clones. Would it still cause an issue if it was 2-3' above the top of the tray? I just turned it on to keep a stronger ambient temp in the tent.

A few days ago I had my ac unit set on fan so the temps got really high. I came in the veg room and it looked like someone ripped half the clones out of the holes of the ezclone machines. Could it be the pressure or what? I was so puzzled!

Its a cloth type material.

Its called 'Capillary Mat' or 'Propagator Capillary Water Matting' .... A search of these words will find it.

edit:
re 250W .. The problem is for cloning, that you want the root-zone slightly warmer not the whole cab. A gentle heat from below is what you want. ..... + higher humidity to minimize transpiration.

... To set minds at rest, It was 'I' who set up the account. ... That way its linked to our community thread.

Sorry, I thought we all new this. :peace:
