would a 2 gallon bucket take me all the way through flower?

EDIT: after a month in a solo
EDIT EDIT: Can't find 3 gallon buckets. 2 gallon, 3.5, 5 seem common.
2 gallon buckets can produce monsters. I know this thread is pretty deep but if you go back to some of my posts, you'll see what 2gal buckets can do with coco up top and Grodan mini-cubes in the bottom. I even experimented with Mapito (rock wool mixed with couch foam) and came out with honkin yields.

Hey there Hempy Brother ISK! Gearing up for full recreational legalization in my state this November. Its a sure pass this time around......2 years ago we lost the vote at 51%/49%.....so I've been prepping by doing some DWC vegetables to tune up my skills after the 5 year hiatus caused by the medical 25 mile rule. Retirement is good...hope you and your are well.

I also retire, just less than a year ago and I'm quite happy about the stress free life

Here in Canada we legalized MJ in Oct 2018, so we can grow up to 4 plants without any worries

I'm currently doing my indoor sunshine grow with 4 auto's in 2 liter hempy pop bottle....it's fun to watch them grow, but they are getting big and can block my TV viewing :)

Looking forward to seeing your upcoming grows

cheers

I had gnats in every grow until I went with the straight perlite hempy. Actually, I had a fuck load of issues until I started this setup. I don't want to jinx myself but the only issue I had with this grow was that the plants stretched a little more than I expected. I'm about to start the flush. I'll be taking them down next Saturday.
I am experiencing very low ph runoff in my 100%perlite Hempy I’m iv week 5 12 12 ph in is 6.5 ph by net morning is 4.5 I’m seeing burnt tips my ppm is 300 ro water base iv Ben suggested to lower my ppm from 600 to 300 any idea what’s going on? I ran this same strain in coco with same issues at week 5 flower with ph drop on run off

When you say your ppm is 300, is that the ppm of your nute solution when you water the plant, or is that the PPM of your hempy reservoir after a day when your EC is 4.5? If it is what you are putting in, what is the EC of the reservoir water the next day when pH is 4.5?

When pH drops, it can mean nute concentration is increasing. 300 ppm is not a lot, so if you are putting in 300 ppm, then chances are your nute sol is increasing concentration due to a salt buildup in your media, and the perlite should probably be flushed.

It comes out slightly stronger as far as ppm runoff girls but they’re drinking water nonstop they’re just not eating

Got my first hempy in years going. Pretty cool going back to my roots grew in perlite/verm hempies for years. Doing 3.5 gal 60/40 coco/perlite with hydroton res. Busted out the old scrog screen too couldn't fill it due to the plant already being pretty big but still gonna be beast. gg4 x chocolate diesel clone that's mostly gg4 but blackberry funk smell/flavor. Week one flower under mh till I get the 600w hps up.IMG_20200604_222701064.jpg

The PPM stays the same by the next morning the thing is is I flush the thing 1 million times
You calibrate your meter lately? Only things it can really be is root rot, salt build up, or maybe perlite sludge if you didn't rinse it well. Have they been growing at all or just stalled? Do you get any enzyme product like I suggested? No bugs right?

No bugs and I rinsed the piss out of it x5 before I used it my one pot is clear I pulled it out of the light blocker and inspected it no brown roots or bad egg smell

I also flushed with pure ro water untill runoff was 25ppms then feed immediately after the next morning P PMs didn’t budge one bit but she drank a shit ton of water and the pH was back down below 5.5 so many their still salts in their that didn’t desolve the thing is she drains her res every 12hrs maybe 1 cup if that left in res after 12hrs lights off so root rot shouldn’t be an issue but I could be wrong I’m still new to this I was feeding 600ppms and my runoff ppms where always 50-150 lower so she was eating then out of no where bam she just stopped eating and ph runoff plummeted down to 4.6 a lot of people are saying that doesn’t matter not to check the pH runoff but it seems to go hand-in-hand with this problem I ran into it last Grow with the same strain in Coco right at the four week mark in flower her stretch stopped and my runoff pH plummeted out of nowhere almost overnight and she just stopped eating

Yeah that's just weird never had a problem that flushing couldn't fix. When I flush enough my ppm and ph output will match my input. Even flushing with nutes draws salts out so that can't be it. Hmm

Just as an experiment I turned off my auto feed system so she didn’t get any new notes overnight I’ll go down and check in 10 minutes when the lights turn on and see where my P PMs and pH are at my feed in my Rez is 320 and 6.5 ph to account for her extremely low pH I put in about a gallon and that will raise it up to 6.1 to 6.2 I’ll let you know In a few minutes where it’s at until today I was feeding every two hours just to keep the pH in check From what people are telling me pure perlite happy buckets are almost impossible to overwater once the roots hit the razz my one pot isn’t a clear protein container and there’s roots everywhere so she’s well-established and they’re nice and white

For the hell of it I might flush again today with a 55 gallon drum of ro water but this time I’m gonna PH It at 6.0 and see if that helps ps theirs only 2 plants so that’s 27.5 gal each of flush one pot is 1.75gal other is exactly 4

Yeah mine has never done that even if my ph drops to like 5.5 and I flush with 6.2 it ends up around 6.0 but coco buffers itself. What are you using for ph down or you using any additives?

Buddernugs

No additives whatsoever I’m gonna pick up some drip clean and I’m gonna be using that throughout the entire grow from now on I got four more in hempy buckets I’m going to transplant them in pure coco in 3 gallon smart pots hopefully I can get 7weeks of veg and 9weeks of flower out of those 3 gallon fabric pots In pure coco I start with 4PPM ro water cal mag my P PMs up to 200 then the rest is Sensi grow coco formula bloom a and b

How many times do you water every day when you run Coco is it the same throughout the entire grow like when I transplant them start off with once a day and I’m thinking maybe workouts it’s a 4 to 5 times a day in flower and keep my ppm around 400 because it will be high frequency feeding so 200cal. Mag and 200 a and b nutes
