World Of Hempy

I just dug one up and I was right. Everything looks healthy under even saw a root string poke out of the side of the buried stem. Looked sexy. Okay maybe I'm just worried. I reviewed the stem in a circular shape. Kinda like a spiral. So I hope that helps too

Moebius, what's your strategy on roots growing out of the drain hole that being to plug them up the hole itself? That's usually my sign to transplant, but I'm thinking in my 3 gallon pots, some rubber tubes or stoppers might be a good way to keep plants from growing over the hole, while making it easier to push roots that come out back inside without killing them.

P.S. Hempy growers are the nicest growers, just sayin'.

Its not something Ive seen happen in my 2L buckets. I use 4 drain holes and the water drains just fine.

A neater solution for you might be to Hot Glue some pipe screen over the hole. Since the pot is cylindrical in shape a screen like this will bend round the hole nicely.

less than $3 for 50.

@ Moe; That's some great growth in less than 3wks. That mapito seems to work really well. And you are correct about seeds being a little unruly, when space is limited. Well they kicked my ass
Not necessarily 'unruly' but 3 reasons why I prefer clones; JMO

1. Using seeds, there's the chance of phenotypical variation between plants. i.e some may grow taller than the others some may be runts etc..
2. Unless you buy fem seed every time (expensive) you may end up with a male.
3. If you do pollinate for your own seeds you need a separate area to do so; besides I've already paid good money for the breeders to do it for me.

hey moebius have u tried c99 from female seeds? on the attitude seedbank it says they flower in 4 weeks.. thats short as helll.. wonder if they are any good and if they are really as fat as the advertising photos if so i could do an outdoor bush of c99..heard it smells like fruit.

btw guys when u guys sell your bud, do u leave it on the stem. everytime i bought lbs from growers they are always big ass stems in it. most of the time the bud is not even dried completely either...like stem is still flexible and i notice most weed nowadays being sold isnt even finished... pistils are still white

To add to that, the cost of buying seeds is generally less than the opportunity cost (and real cost) of growing a male, female, keeping them alive, breeding them for seeds and wasting the female's buds to grow those seeds.

Also, You cut out a good 1-2 weeks of growing time by using clones and not needing to germinate and transfer the seedlings to new containers.

That's why we're paid the big bucks: Proper growing, harvesting, curing and aging are part of the business. I'd never give medicine to anyone who needs it that isn't the best quality. I'm not in it for the money (though that's not a bad part) but making a good quality product means you'll never be out of a 'job' and you achieve personal satisfaction.

As for stems, I leave them in but only as much as I have to. the inside of a nug shouldn't be touched, but if you leave any stem protruding from the bud beyond the natural "sphere" of the bud, I'd say it's someone trying to push their weight as far as they can. It's like people who weigh down bags with seeds, stems, sugar leaf, etc. It's a money grab. I don't do it, but again, it's a trade off for less money (barely) but a better quality smoke and more actual bud for the people who need it.

Generally fast flowering strains won't be as potent, won't grow as big, have a higher chance of dying from any various element, are less resistant to bugs and disease, and have a higher chance of becoming hermaphrodites.

I'm growing female-seeds C99 right now. Mine are at around 8wks and look to need another week to finish. Its a decent yielder for me and it was easy to grow.

Wet as hell in a sealed bag, sounds like a recipe for disaster.

The major recipient of my grows is myself. So drying and curing is the most important part of the grow for me. It generally takes me 6 to 8wks after chopping to achieve a final product. I prefer to smoke joints, so I like my buds dry enough to burn evenly but still tacky enough to stick to the scissors.

I really only dry for about a week and cure for another week, and its pretty much ready to go by then,, But the curing process continues for as long as a Month or more if I still have left overs that long.

I gotta tell ya brutha, thats the strangest looking bag of weed Ive seen in a long minute.

What I call 'wet' really is just something thats a little too sticky inside. That bag looks like it would become a soup-like mess in a day or two. And IMO is too wet for transportation. (maybe its just the lighting)

I'm pleased next time you plan on refining your product. You'll always get top $$$ for a better product and a rep for bringing the nice weed.

Wow Four weeks? .. I would say thats pretty much impossible. I dunno. .. maybe they're measuring their 'flower' time from when buds are appearing on the plant.... I measure flower time from when the lights flip.

C99 has a good rep. Lots of online chatter about it. Ive not come across it around my way.

These are the strains I've got atm to mother.

Royal Cheese (Royal Queen Seeds) Fem x 1
GDP (Kens Grand Daddy Purple) Reg x 8
Exodus Cheese (Green House Seeds) Fem x 4
Super Skunk (Nirvana) Fem x 10
ChemDawg (Humboldt seed Company) Fem x 1
TrainWreck (Humboldt seed Company) Fem x 1
OG Kush (reserva privada) Fem x 1

With my setup/space I can possibly run MAX 8 - 9 of my Hempy tubs (each contains 21 hempys).

I would love to be able to run all side by side , and might try but it would be terribly inefficient.

it was sweet tooth or so i was told it was. i got a lb dropped on me. was told by a few clients that it was still wet. this is when i didnt know jack bout cannabis. i dried it with a heater and fan in a closet. lost half a lb in weight. went back to grower to get compensation for the missing lb. worst experience ever. i also got robbed that weak for 3 ozs. at gun point. hope i never have that happen again. thats why i have a better distribution set up now

but its like a toasty looking thing and is only on some of the perlite rocks.... oh and another thing if anyone knows... its only been about 9-10 days and i notice a slight lighter shade of green for the cotyledon leaves on some of my plants. and some of the cotyledons are sticking up looks like they are covering the true leaves... so what could be the problem? temps are not high. air is flowing 24/7. light is close enuff. what could it be

pics please smoothness, its impossible to give a definitive answer without. :leaf:

cotyledons die off anyhow. Not a problem.

edit:
As rusty says , it likely to be a bit of Algae. I don't worry about it either.
