Not necessarily! I always, always, ALWAYS err on the side of caution. That's why I never post pics. I don't own a digital camera, so it is not worth the risk to me. Just be forewarned. I'm sure you'll probably be OK, but if the DEA wants to build a case against you, they could start with the pics you're posting.
You can turn gps tagging off. I use my phone cam with no prob. Usually edit them on my touch pad first. Hell with PRISM and all the NSA crap they can get anyone at anytime. I disable gps on pics more for thieves. Have had 50k in buds stolen before. .and even though lil diff my cousin in n cali said some guys got busted with AKs masks. ..and Google Earth print outs with locations of massive grows tagged. Good heads up though.

I host my pics on imgur which automatically deletes the EXIF data.
I knew a guy who had a big grow who was the victim of a random home invasion, a shot got fired and the cops came :(

I have a friend who I have a tremendous amount of respect for who spent the last year growing autos to give them a fair test. He found most breeders were hit or miss but there are some who are putting out seeds that are consistently good. Dinafem seemed to have more winners than anyone else. Other breeders seem hit or miss at best.
yeah I have also heard good things about Dinafem...I believe they produce Critical Jack which is a successful auto.....I followed a grow journal and it seemed awesome

my local zeed store only had these "Early Wonder Skunk" autoflowers....they were marketed as an outdoor strain, and I have latter on read that they don't do well indoors unless you can keep the heat around 75F

Morning everyone...Some of my first plants were auto's and dinafem, I had some cheese plants, and a few other they grew like they were supposed to, just very small...about 18 inches in size..and I LST'd them, that's why I did not top the last crop, so I could see how big they got...a lot of beans I got from attitude did not germ...or survive long...But the old bag seed I had from Florida grew like crazy...go figure a 15.00 seed dies and a bag seed thrives, I thought it was just me

I'm pleased with my indoor/sunshine grow, she happy and healthy and is growing like a weed.

yesterday was the first day the sunshine got clipped by the hi-rise across the street (for about 2 minutes).....this problem gets worst by the day as the sun's arch becomes lower as fall approaches

anyhow....I believe my gal is beyond the pre-flower stage thus could be considered as in flower mode but I'm not overly sure....???

PS...more pics posted in my grow journal...link below

The OS of your phone still uses GPS, regardless if you shut it off. This is especially true of iPhones. They are constantly sending information back to Apple, including your location. This data can still get stored in your pics. There's lots of examples of this. Pretty much every time you see some pic going around the web of some fast-food employee fucking with food (such as the guy licking tacos at Taco Bell a few weeks back), users on Reddit hack those pics and find out exactly where it was taken. This happens all the time, so just be cautious. As I said, I am sure most of us will be fine. But if you start posting tons of pics of some super grow, and you have a rep as a dealer, the DEA may take a closer look at what you're up to. I just always err on the side of caution.

See above Mr. Duck, it does not completely delete the data, it is just about impossible save for a hard wipe. It is the OS of your phone that imprints this data, and a good hacker can crack that info! Just be more aware and cautious. If you must post pics do so from a digital camera, even on of those cheap disposable ones, they're probably your best bet!! :blsmoke:

But enough of this stuff!! This is the Hempy thread!! bongsmilie

Fortunately my SLR doesn't even have a GPS :)
I took down the rest of my Blue Dream today. Got 440g of wet untrimmed material, I'm still trimming so no trimmed weight yet. I'll get pics up in my journal when I'm done.

Good day WOH - checking in as I do from time-to-time, not enough obviously because everytime I get on here you guys have added 15+ pages of replies I have to catch up on!

Just cut down and dried up the first round of snow white - 8.4z on 18 X 2l hempy or 13.2g per plant. My plants as of late have been receiving about 3-5 days of veg time after getting potted up. 1000w HPS.

Just cut down my strawberry blue (World of Seeds) and ordered a couple strains I have been wanting to try out, mostly as cash crops - Sensi Seeds Big Bud and Dinafem Critical+. Attitude freebies include 3 additional Dinafem fem strains - White Widow, Royal Haze and Super Silver. Anyone tried these Dinafem strains? I have grown WW before, if was a few years ago, pretty nice strain but unknown genetics from what I ran at the time as they were local clones I picked up. Excited to see the C+ and BB.

Cheers -Prae

Well, I think the lesson here is to avoid autos! I'll make a note to self, thanks guys!! :blsmoke:
Jeff, look back on page 574 at the Easy Ryder I grew....the smoke was awesome too....smelled/tasted like sour grapes. The Joint Doctor breeder has a good rep for auto's. My problem is that they tend to take about the same length of time that a photo-period plant takes...the advantages are not many unless grow height is a major concern.

Hey mates i just have a quick question,

making my hempy buckets, about to drill the hole, wondering what size hole do you guys find is best to allow drainage but not let the perlite out...

also, what is your views on a screen i see some people using for the hempy drain hole? some complain of more clogged holes with the screens, metal or vinyl?

thanks a bunch! :peace:

Hey Steelie,

That hempy is beautiful. Great work.

I see that you came up with a solution to the two problems
of a 5-gallon-buckey hempy, the screen and dealing with the
run off.

What container are you sitting that in? I need something that
fits the bucket fairly closely, as I have a 3X3 array of buckets
in a tent that is shy of five feet across.

I have probably 12-18 inches extra in both directions.

I am using hoses running to 2 liter bottles. This does not allow
for that much run off, but it is working.

Take care,

JD
