The damage has stopped progressing but it seems like the top side that I cut half the leaf off is progressing faster

Yea they aren't doing much they're pretty much dead ' what ya think I should do? And if I were to remove there where would I cut at the base of the stem?Those leave don't look they are doing much at this point but the plant needs leaves for photosynthesis which is what causes them to grow. Defoliation is a common tool, especially indoors to improve light penetration and air flow, but can be overdone especially if you assume that more rather than less energy is converted after removing foliage.
Looks much better now...I was losing hope on these 2 plants but these last few days they made a turn aroundI would get rid of them when they are that damaged. They are essentially dead and of no use to the plant.
