Will removing these 2 bottom damaged triple leaves off send more energy to the top?

The damage has stopped progressing but it seems like the top side that I cut half the leaf off is progressing faster

Those leave don't look they are doing much at this point but the plant needs leaves for photosynthesis which is what causes them to grow. Defoliation is a common tool, especially indoors to improve light penetration and air flow, but can be overdone especially if you assume that more rather than less energy is converted after removing foliage.

Yea they aren't doing much they're pretty much dead ' what ya think I should do? And if I were to remove there where would I cut at the base of the stem?
