Why so many autoflower growers?

I haven't grown autos yet, but I have some seeds for my outdoor grow next year, so take this with a grain of salt.
One of my favourite strains is Amnesia Haze. It's flowering time can run more than 12 weeks, and it has been known to take longer. So, if I want to grow it I have to stick to the auto version.
From what I have tried, trading buds with friends, autos are getting better every year (depending on the breeder). So this year I decided to get some Sour Diesel auto seeds. The photo version finishes late October early November around here, and in 2019 we had snow falling before Hallowe'en.
I don't think autos in general are going to die out, just the ones with weak genetics.

I just finished a NL auto. Running a sour kush and bum wine autos now. And running a full NL auto crop next lol. I run photos too. But like I said its nice to harvest some buds at the same time I flip my main plants to flower

GG#4 auto is supposed to average around 23% THC.

I'll be running a couple of photos too, Jack the Ripper, and Bruce Banger (seedsman version). I'll have a couple of autos, Sour Diesel and Gorilla, should be ready and of July, and then I can run a couple more, Sour Diesel and Blackberry, to be ready Early to mid October.

And one guy was trying to say his White Widow auto fem was a few percent higher than his White Widow fem. The percentage matters, but a high THC strain with a sucky high? I might use it to breed with a weaker strain with a better high, but I'm just as likely to just get seeds for a better strain.

I started out growing autos because my tent was in a place the getting 12hr darkness wasn’t gonna happen. And we all know tents are light proof.
I do prefer photos now for sure.
Autos have a time and place

Only 1 of these plants is a photoperiod. The one all the way on the left. In the tent with it are 2 clones from
the plant on the far right in the pic. They seem fine to me.

I mean if you like 2 ounce plants with sub par THC levels, I guess you’re just crushing it :eyesmoke:

Clearly this post wasn't created in an attempt to gain insight or understanding.
That leaves me to speculate. Since 90% of threads created solely to bash autos are posted by people who failed miserably, I'll go ahead and assume that's the case here. :bigjoint:

Never grown an auto flower...most plants just look, sub-par IMO. I have seen some Mephisto Genetics plants posted on reddit that look pretty damn good. Maybe the breeders are starting to get the potency up? IDK I like photos, stuck in my ways I guess.

I rarely see any True Dank come from an auto...

Ok fuck it I'll say it...I've Never seen any True Dank come from an auto....I know that's gonna offend some people but fuck it I'm being honest n keeping it real...

Subcool never grew an Auto...just sayin...I don't think Kyle Kushman has an Auto garden...never took any advice from Steve Tuck on growing Autos except not to...

You can 12 12 from seed photo plants n do better like that than fkn with Autos

But I too am old an stuck in my ways...I remember when Autos came out...prolly why I look at em the way I do

I agree with My own dank, I’ve never seen or smoked an auto that I considered high end. I do know they are evolving though. When fem’d seeds came out the old boys said they were garbage but they’ve evolved and stabilized.
