What are the causes of budrot and could molasses cause it i had to harvest on week 7 as a small portion of my top cola has been infected with botrytis, only about an eighth i managed to rid the offending bud and have saved a good 2oz that is just starting to ripen, its drying now and i just want to know what causes this terrible affliction anyone help with any info thanks, no pics as the bud was discarded. thanks.

It could have caused it, but i would think high rh.

humidity is the cause of most molds and fungus. if it's over 60% that's a danger zone

well said mate, humidity is a major factor... actually everyone flushes just before harvest but some over do it with excess water, and definitely that moisture leads to mould as a result bud rot...

poor circulation/ventilation and high humidity.

Its especially shit cos flushing isnt even necessary...

Watercuring can get rid of mold btw; just make sure you change the water daily, give the buds a little rinse when changing the water and after the full 7 days make sure you dry them completly and quickly.

true i plan on 10 days before harvest to flush not straight before harvest.

A dehumidifer is a must have tool anywhere that has to much humidity. Also use of some sm-90 mixed in the soil its a wetting agent and will stop root rot and bugs and other problems.

post a pic yo. ditch the molasses for now, people over use it and it blocks out N(cal mag competes with N for binding spots on the roots). the molasses is sugar and it attracts lots of pests and other stuff like mold. well it doesnt attract them really but if you leave a bunch of food out for them, they'll eventually come
