Even if they did own slaves, I don't see how it's relevant today. Hell, several founding fathers owned slaves -- and even impregnated at least one.

the birth and death records couldn't be clearer. they lead right back to census records showing nearly 200 people living at the same address as some of your ancestors. the census clearly designates them as slaves.

you don't think he should restitute the families of those he enslaved?

you usually have a huge hate boner against slavery. but here we have a person who clearly owes his family's fortune to slavery, and the names of those who he enslaved, which leads to clear records of their descendants.

don't you think he should bother to do something?

My ancestors have never lived in the USA though, post it HERE so everyone watching the thread can see how stupid you are

It's important to note what they mean by forced out. Its the football team boycott.

It wasn't the protests. None of that.

Like any school in the SEC or Big12, football rules. When the football team and season were put on the line he knew he needed to go.

If anything it was the rich white boosters that forced him out. Not the angry black kids
