All wattage bulbs cost about the same amount of money, and the lower wattage, the less efficient the bulb is. I'm not too sure about Lowes, but home depot only sells the outdoor type fixtures that would mount on the side of your house. The max wattage fixtures they have here are 70 watts. They sell for ~70 bucks. Problem is they have no plug to go into your outlet so you will have to ghetto-rig one yourself, as well as device a reliable way to hang, and adjust the height of the light. I figure it would be better just to pony up the extra hundred bucks and get a self contained one. (70 watts would also have to be really close to your plants, and would kill them with heat.)
