Who know's anything about molasses and hydroponics?

So I'm into the final five weeks of my DWC hydroponic grow and I just switched to water from here on out. I've read in Marijuana Horticulture "The indoor/outdoor Medical Growers Bible" and saw the picture of two buds that where grown and harvested at the same time. One was given sugar during the last six weeks the other I assume was just water. The one with sugar harvested 20% more than the one that was not. I'm just wondering if this would also be good for the final flush on a hydro system?

I have tried it in ebb and flow. IT DOESN'T WORK and you will get root rot. Molasses needs the bacteria in soil to break it down so the plants can use it. That "normally" is not present in hydro and will result in overnight root rot and damage. In hydro you need to use the expensive chemical bloom enhancements.

humboldt honey hydro i would assume would be great for this. it contains molasses and well, its built for hydro. I use the ES stuff in my soil grow.
