i heard that if you start flowering as soon as they sprout or maybe a week after you can have plants that are only a foot tall, has anyone done this with cfls cause if its possible im gonna have a very shrt sog soon probly gonna use tubbaware boxes and stack to sogs in my closet maybe ten to fifteen plants each!
anyone found out if this is possible?

I've never grew plants from start to finish under a 12/12 cycle, but I have grown my seedlings to about 2-3 inches under 18/6 then move to 12/12 under CFLs. My last grow yielded me ~120 grams from 4 plants flowered when they were 3 inches tall under 12 2700k 26w CFLs. MG Organic soil, Fox Farm veg. and bloom nutes. No topping, no scrog.

30 GRAMS PER TINY PLANT IS FINE BY ME BUT HOW TALL WERE THEY WHEN YOU HARVESTED? how many watts per plant? what color cfls?

The last batch of plants I harvested were 1'3" and 1'5" (Big Bud). And 1'7" and 1'6" (Northern Lights). Each plant received 5250 lumens (78watts of CFLs apiece) of 2750k light. CFLs work fine for flowering as long as you are OK with moving the lights up often. Btw I've been growing the same 2 strains from the same mother plants for about 8 harvests now. I've gotten to know what they like and what they don't like. Lighting is only 1 part of a long chain in growing cannabis. If you have a good medium, know a thing or two about nutrients, and keep fresh air coming in the room, your lighting is going to be the least of your worries.
Green regards;)

NICE! big bud has sativa genetics in it right? im going to be growing purple urkle, columbian gold, redheaded bitch, and trainwreck; all of which i have heard have sativa genetics. i like the tubaware stealth grows i have seen and want to be able to pull an ounde or two from each box every three months if i can. the containers i will be growing in are like three feet tall so i can fit lights and plants in there fine if they stay short and venting is no prob in the boxes.

Yeah Big bud contains some sativa in it but it definitely is dominantly indica. The Northern Lights strain is more sativa than indica.

I'm currently growing 2 white widow with a 250w Eco Light CFL, and when the time comes, hopefully flower with another 250w CFL, this is my first time indoors using lights, and was hoping if anyone could tell me if that should be alright to provide the plants with sufficient light. Any and all input would be welcome.
Cheers

sorry but its far from enough, widows like to grow big and big plants need alot of light sativas require more than indacas and since your growing with cfls you need alot no matter what cause they are weak you have to position them reallly close to your plant and have multiple lights on one plant.

Can someone tell me the diffrence with useing a standard CFL or Enenergy saving CFL as theses seem to be sold in a low watt such as 23 w while the others ie 125w.
I would like to grow about two mothers just in Veg stage and about 7 clones under cfl low enenery. and need to work out how many of the these blubs to use..
