Who else is dissapointed with crop using LED panel?

While Chinese companies make millions selling blurple LED lights, a few of us buyers of those are wondering. Do you feel bummed out with your grow(s) after you did everything else to insure a potent crop using them? I do. I bought a BestVA 1000w blurple LED light for $139 six months ago. The price has since fluxuated between $99 and at present $109. My two grows were lacking in potency, even tho the plant grew nicely. The only thing is... on both separate grows (one plant grow), the leaves took on a dark green color and the potency of the buds weren't good at all, even tho they looked great. Can just one person here relate to that? The dark green leaf color wasn't due to over feeding nitrogen, so forget that. The reason both grows took on a dark green color and weren't that potent was due to one thing and one thing only. Lack of light intensity. Look it up. A plant that grows healthy but has dark green leaves and lacks a punch is because the plant is overproducing chlorophyll in order to try and compensate for the lack of light intensity. So...add me to the list of those who experienced what I did and confirmed what I did. $100 Chinese blurple lights will NEVER produce a crop with a potent THC content. The plant may produce beautiful candy trichromes, but with low THC content. End of rant and thanks for reading.

IDK about that. Maybe w/ cheap Chinese lights but not good burples. Wh/Burp , forget about it.

don't blame the tools if you can't grow for shit.
never had a problem with potency and I've always hit above the 1:1 gr/w mark.
The dark leaves you describe is either strain dependent or nitrogen toxicity from over feeding.
I haven't noticed any different behaviour like you describe on my plants, they yellow as usual if I don't bump the nutes early flowering.

I can't complain, The couple blpurps I use are good enough until I can get better, but I don't use only those panels.

I've never been impressed with any led lights, costs, savings, heat production, life span,or plant results.
I've come to the conclusion that the issue is subjectively portrayed. They veg well and flower for shit.
they make pretty flowers that never brix right, never fully develop, never stone to potential.

anyone saying different just happens to like the shit results is all.
we all had shitty smoke that someone else loved on right?

LOL. ridiculous

Have you been bred with Yodaweed?

Man up @grassy007 dont blame the lights, plenty of quality weed grown under shit blurple. You just wont get the weight you do compared to white leds.

so that panel of yours is only 185w... how big is your area?

Most burples that's what you get
There are other LEDs that don't do that. White & enhanced

Low intensity is your own fault. If you want higher intensity then spread the light over a smaller area.

Yes, blurple sales people will exaggerate the efficiency of their fixtures and then advise a grow area way to big for the light. A cheap blurple isn't any more efficient than an HPS. So use about 500W of it per m2, like you would with HPS, and you should be fine with that blurple. That's actual wall drawn watts and not the imaginary "HPS equivalent watts" in their marketing lies.

Also when you grow with low intensity light, you should reduce the nutrients in the water. Otherwise you will overfeed the plants and indeed end up with dark green leaves.

Every time someone comes into these forums asking if the $100 chinese light is ok they get the same answer: NO.

you bought it anyways, and now you're mad?

Obviously you know shit-all about leds, but you know about these forums? You skipped everyones advice and then come here to bitch about it?

WORSE: you decide all leds are just no good? lol.

Go away troll. Or go watch some you tube vids and wise up. Growmau5. greengenes. master grower.. Have fun.

You must be new around the LED forum. Because what you're saying is manifestly false.
