I'm a Michigan basement grower as well. It certainly presents its challenges. Especially in this exceptionally cold winter we're having this year.
I like it. I get to fire up my 4000 watt room with the Gavita room next to it. Shut off the mini split ac and bring in all the cold air I want for free. It really makes a difference. I still run co2 but I waste a little more. Been doing it this way for years. Iam gonna have a shitload of bud by April. Then I focus on the outdpor crops. This is my indoor production month's. Only thing that sucks is the electric bill. 10,000 watts worth...every month. Hate that fukin bill. Everyone has a boss though right?

What happened to the bare bulb hps vert crowd? They been quiet lately. All the rage just a few years ago. Silent.
They are busy growing big bags full of high quality cannabis rather than arguing over Barney Lights ;)

I don't have the space in my current config for bare lamps so I am experimenting with Big Hoods mounted on the side walls like Flat Panel Big Screen TV's :hump:

Yeah, i'm a new england basement grower. I struggle keep temps up along with a reasonable humidity. I have to run a heater during lights out and keep the exhaust fans turned way down.

I thing side lighting (mounting light fixtures to walls of whatever type) is very underrated. Especailly for big plant growers.

Back in the day I built a little cabinet box garden. And mounted it with a 400 watt hps and t12 floros (t5's & tents weren't invented yet) mounted on the walls and rocked out some FULL plants. Bud all the way up and down. Lollipopping? No way. This was decades ago. I got the idea from those cheesy High Times Phototron ads.

Yes. I rock my veg room and early in flower rooms in the low and sometimes mid 80's and high rh. They respond accordingly. So fast. Warm amd humid like a greenhouse is how I rock veg and early flower. And lots of co2 and water with just mild fertigation. Here in Michigan...space heaters for me. 24 hours in veg room and 12 hour nights in my cold ass basement. Love me some Nov. to April indoor crops. Churning out flower production like buttuh!!! And processed into cheddar!!!
"Cold ass basement" I feel your pain! Would you run temps differently without the CO2? My grow is slow and I'm really wondering about temps.
I started a thread. https://www.rollitup.org/t/air-and-plant-temperatures-under-led.958350/

1000w blurple LED light for $139 six months ago.
That should have been your first clue. Grow lights do not manufacture their own watts. Would you by a Perpetual Motion Generator to power your fixture too?

Damn near every vendor on eBay and Amazon selling rechargeable batteries or grow lights are charlatans. Fraudulent liars.

This sums it up best:
What the fuck. The audacity of this seller's bullshit marketing is staggering. I've seen some egregious shit in the Chinese blurples market, but this is a new low.

Prolly would still rock temps at around 80 - 82 in veg and early flower. They just grow so much faster. Everything is amped up...metabolism on point!!! You dont have to fertigate high EC either. Just as long as you up the watering...plants love it. Your dry down is alot faster and if you water them right...LIFT OFF!!! Its how the pro greenhouse veggie growers roll in the middle of summer. I get pretty liberal with electric use in winter because I shut my mini split a.c. down until late March/early April. This is my time right now. My favorite time of year for indoor grows. Just get a small space heater or radiant heater. A little one can do alot for a growroom. Even bigger ones if its enclosed. Sorry to rob this goofy ass thread. Iam out. Lights are on. I got work to do. Peace!!!
