My first indoor grow was a experience, I ended up killing them (long story)

But, from that, I learned alot about what to do and what not to do and things I needed to tweak in my stealth box

And I know, I know.... everyone says get a Hans Panel or Area51 blah blah, but I am on tight budget and got this one $T2eC16N,!w0E9szN(m79BRrwfPPllw~~60_35.JPG

Seeds:
White Widow Big Bud X feminized from Herbies
It took about 10 days to get them, nice job of stealth shipping

Environment:
My armoire stealth box in the garage using chinese 150w reflector led & 16 CFL bulbs that I can lower and raise as needed and move around as needed
2.5ftx3ftx3.5ft
It's a constant 75-82 degrees F in there
Humidty runs around 25%-35% average (wish I could get it higher for veg, but it's a tight space)
Several fans and portable ones to move and adjust as needed.

Soil:
I had some seedling soil for the first 3 weeks or so of growth, then transplanted into 3gal smart pots type bags

Fox Farms Happy Frog mixed with Black Gold
Perlite
Dolimite
Worm Castings (about 30%)
Compost
Charcoal (horticulture kind)
Bone Meal
Blood Meal
Epsom Salts
Bat Guano
Mykos
Molasses
Azomite
lava rock
diatomaceous earth
coffee grounds
eggshells ground up

I plan on scrogging and maybe some LST

They sprouted around the 1st of Feb and now are doing fantastic!!

I plan on trying to keep updates coming in all stages, so far so good, comments are always welcome!!

looking good man, I'm actually running my current grow under the 600 watt reflector from lg-led solutions. So far I'm happy with mine sitting at 29 days, you can check out my grow log here 576 watt lg-led solutions panel grow. The only "negative" thing so far is they say it's 600 watts but the number of 3w diodes in it actually only comes out to 576 watts and then you have to factor in that they only run at 55-60% of their advertised wattage, but for the price I'm very pleased. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on your grow and see how that panel works out for ya

Checked on them today and one sure is better than the other.

Same soil, same water, same pH, same everything.

One is struggling, only thing I can think of was light differences when it was a seedling.

I'll post pics tomorrow

The healthy one below:

They are both planted the same day, same water, same temps, same soil etc

23 days from sprout :joint:

Looking good Oregon, give them some time, the runts sometimes take a bit to get going but catch up later, both look healthy so no worries. Only thing I see is the runt looks like it could have a bit of burn (could be lighting too) around the tips/edges of some leaves. Could be your mix is a bit hot for her right now...

Yah, the only thing I think it could be is either lighting to close at the begining, or soil a tiny bit hot. BUT they are both in same exact soil and the other sure is doing nice.

My soil should be water only and no nutes needed the full run (hopefully, whishfully thinking, lol)

This is why I prefer to pop ~10 seeds at a time. Cull the best 4 for my needs- one short tent & one tall tent

Based on having gone from ~ 110w led to last grow ~220w over 2 small pheno plants, which I scrogged to get more bud (worked great) I am beginning to see how much more bud you get when total wattage is > 90 lumens/watt

This grow I am replacing 3 @ 16w x 4ft @3000K tubes with 2 cob/reflectors @ 75w *fucking deceptive advertising). After ordering, I noticed they only have a 48w draw, so probably ~ 30 -40w actual

I sent them a 'deceptive' adv email, and will take it up with Ebay

Anyway that still ups the wattage (not really a good gauge) hitting the plants, as I can direct these, whereas half the 4fts was simply lighting the tent, all things being equal that means more lumens= umls/m^ will be hitting the plants

If interested, I started a new thread, but haven't put the link in my sig yet

They are doing really good, and I only had the two seeds.

BUT, I am looking into adding some more led's, maybe some bulb type led's for side lighting (I'm on a very tight budget)

I cannot add anymore cfl's, it gets too hot if I do

3-4 Bulb Vanity fixtures + CREE LED Bulbs = WIN!
Good idea, with LED bulbs getting cheaper, take a CFL fixture and replace the CFL's with LED bulbs and you have the GP2000 (I called my first CFL fixture the GP1000 or Getto Panel 1000). Less heat than CFL's and more effective. About the only thing I use the CFL's for any more are for brining temps up during winter and warming my seeds/clones from underneath using this fixture...

$35 DIY fixture with instructions I posted in the DIY section, just replace CFL with LED bulbs and you're good to go. If you build one with only one of those vanity fixtures (3 bulb) it'll cost about $25 plus the cost of the bulbs themselves.

I happen to have a 4 light vanity fixture 03c01-527c635e-ca1e-41e7-a0b5-3e1bcc46e3d5.png

That was the inside of my grow box back when I started, and now that I have the LED hanging from the top, I was going to add that to the back wall instead

Definitely tune down the soup next time man, that's a lot of shit you added to already nuted soils :) good luck.

Nice, they should help, let us know how many you added and what it did to the temps when you get a chance...
I had a extra vanity 4 bulb fixture, that I had removed when I got the led panel. So I wanted to add it to the back wall, but anytime I added ANY more CFL's my temps would get up to 82F-85F.

I added the 2 CREE bulbs today on the back wall and it's been 3 hours and my temps have not risen yet.

Every CFL grower should just with every bulb for cree globes. That is the only thing they need to change...the rest is identical in approach/methods.

I have done par test on 9wcree globe(WW and CW) vs 26w cfl(WW and CW) and with the positions/mountings/reflectors I had, I could get the best numbers with the globe...and head to head hanging vertically bare with nothing the globe was equal. The fact is that the cree globes are putting out the same amount of light maybe slightly more even for 1/3 the energy. Plus the spectrum is arguably better from white led's than CFL/floros. And they have no heat. I never ran cfl other than cloning so I never had heat issues...but that is the problem I heat most from cfl growers.

Sorry to bombard, but my point is I really like you cfl setup and addition to the current run, it would be really really good with cree globes. Grow on!
