I live in CT on the border of NY, next to Bridgeport, which is the largest city in CT, and has a large gang presence.
I know for a fact (was offered one once, "cheap") that most of those guns are bought in North and South Carolina (more GOP/NRA states). Guy's would go down on I 95, buy 10 handguns (maximum for one sale) for $200 each and come back up in 8 hours and sell them for $600 on the street.. Easy money.
You want to stop violent crime with firearms in ALL states.
Create a standardized Federal licensing system, so none of this bullshit that New York, Illinois and Connecticut, which have strict gun laws, has to go through because they live near states that kiss the NRA's ass, and scream 2nd Amendment every chance they can.
Let them keep their guns, but don't screw your neighboring states that give a fuck about gun violence.

Yeah, that won't happen. The NRA has succeeded in ensuring that most states cannot even use computers to register their sales. All records are kept on paper, in order to make it nearly impossible to cross-reference gun purchases. I have to go through a more rigorous screening process to buy fucking sudafed.

Perfect Trump tactic. The usual right-wing rags post some innuendo. The weak minded dumbfucks repeat it. It is a good substitute for facts and, in fact, is more powerful than any actual fact since it cannot be proven or disproven. It exists only as an unanswered question that they may interpret to confirm their pre-existing conclusions. Then they think they are being deep and thoughtful and looking at things "on a higher level".

But in fact they are just blow-hard assholes who lack the necessary intelligence to think critically.

I wore a yarmulke at my Jewish wedding and all the Jewish holidays and seders I attend and often fast for.

You joining the nazis in their hunt for fake jews? I always thought of you as merely resentful to low level bigot. Nowhere near those dirtbags.

i stepped on and broke the glass at our wedding.

and i brought a sheet with a hole cut out for the vag like the orthodox jews do on our honeymoon. the wifey laughed but i never did get to use it (yet at least)

No, I'm genuinely curious. I didn't know if there was some official ceremony or something like a baptism.

I mean, I do find religion in general to be bat shit crazy, so on that point I'm unapologetic. But no, I don't find Judaism to be any better/worse than any of the other fairy tales if that's what you're suggesting.

There is an official way to convert but they are kinda dicks about it so I am just honorary jewish.

I'm asking in part because my Jewish business partners son (he's 25) has started working for us, and we've had a few chats about girls over the past few weeks. He's a really good kid, good looking guy too, and is extremely frustrated with his old man over women. His dad (who is a pretty strict practicing Jew) has basically forbid him from dating anyone who isn't Jewish. I've hesitated to give him any advice because I don't want to rock the boat, and I don't really know what the customs/traditions are for non Jews dating a Jew or marrying in to a Jewish family. His son is not a practicing Jew per se, but he clearly does not want to upset his old man. I kinda feel bad for the kid.
