Which strain for a stealth CRL setup?

Hey guys,

I'm planning on doing a first time grow soon and I need advice on which strain is most beginner friendly. I'm looking for something that is easy to care for, doesn't need to grow tall and flowers relatively quickly. I'm planning on doing a 12/12 from seed grow since that type of grow seems to meet my needs (small plants, shorter total grow time). I'm also planning on using soil and CFLs throughout the whole thing because I don't have too much money to spend. My aim in terms of yield is an Oz. Also It'd be nice if it was something that is very cerebral and not too stony.

I would also like to start from seed using a feminized strain since I don't have time to spend weeding out boys.

I know that this alot to ask of a particular strain so the most important thing to me is that it'll be easy to grow and yield well for a beginner.

you should look at auto's u can keep them on 18/6 from seed and they'll finish in around the same time as a 12/12fs grow with fems.get them in a good sized pot and u should get your oz(depending on the wattage of your cfl's).it will give the experience at growing then go onto fems next round.its worth looking into as 12/12 fs grow with fems u wont get the yield or potency that u would growing them with a veg time.good luck with what ever u choose

Try Fast Bud automatic from Sweet Seeds, they stay small and produce 20-35g per plant. They have an awesome fruity flavor but they don't yield enough for me.

Thanks for the help guys. I decided to go with a feminized auto strain on my first try. I figure that it should be easy enough for a noob like me to work with. Hopefully I'll learn enough the first time around to improve my technique.

I'm planning on doing this in a stealth dresser that I will be building. I have it pretty much figured out except that I will need to figure out how to control the smell and seal the light that will be leaking from my intake and exhaust fans.

My last grow, witch was my first. I followed the SeeMoreBuds CFL book as a guide to my first cfl grow. I went 12/12 at day 17, his was 16 I believe. I used LST to train the main colas down, The result was 3, compact little bud bushs that finished at maybe 15", if that. It worked great for me.

After that I searched and decided to try Nirvana's Papaya. Supposedly is a shorter plant and yields nice that likes 3/4 to 1/2 strength nutes. So maybe feminized papaya would do you straight?

Point is, I think the 16 or so days of veg time from seed really helped lead into a desirable plant structure for flowering. Only if I had HID lighting for that grow...
