which light would be better?

what is better for the money and getting good results. I seen the 250 watt hps light. I also seen a 324 watt T5 light. so what would be better for the money and which would get better results? Would I get better light results with a 250 watt hps or 324 watt T5? The T5 is 6 bulbs.

would a 324 watt T5 be better just because of more watts? or will a 250 watt hps be better with less watts.

250HPS because of higher intensity. HPS and MH is more intense than flourescent and can travel over feet, whereas flourescent loses its light strength quickly and has to be kept within inches of plant tops to promote good growth. I use T5's for vegging and to root my clones, and HPS for flowering.

Ok thank you again. so a 324 watt T5 would be a waste of money compared to a 250 watt HPS. I would get better light and use less energy.

Yea you would have to keep your plants about a 1 foot or less (or add a lot of side lighting) and do some extreme bending with side branches to benefit from a T5 light for flowering purposes....it can be done and has been on the forum before. But you're gonna get better end results and use less power with the HPS, yes.
