when will stink come?

ok thanks for the help :). well I can not drill holes im using grow bags haha. but the other things I can def use thanks.
He is not saying to drill holes in whatever your growing in. Hes saying make that contraption and put it in your area that you dont want to stink.:leaf:

I have a similar bucket filter. With mine I am using a bag of silica crystal cat litter and 3 cans of activated carbon. It's been 3 weeks now and the filter is still doing a decent job. If the humidity goes up around 50% or more in my grow room I can still smell plants IN the growroom but other than that its all good. It's much better than previously when I walk in the door of the apt and all I could smell was weed. Had to fix that asap. :leaf:

If you grow indoors, it is going to stink. I bought Ionizers, carbon filters, Febreeze filters, and they do not work well at all.
I have tried charcoal and I have tried cheap smelly substitutes, but the ONA really, really works. I sometimes use the solid blocks but I like the chunks or GEL best. I just add a little, like a 1/6 of the big jar, and it lasts for weeks. I can dildute it with water or cat liter, to make it last even longer.

AND, with 6 inches of water in the bottom, it increases the humdiity too.

You can rig a round 9 or ten inch fan in the bucket easily.

thats slick shit bro

The fan sucks in the stinking air, blows it into the ONA and out of the holes in the sides of the bucket.

thanks for the bucket and fan Idea it looks like it will work great. can you tell me how you dissolve the Ona gel in kitty litter?

i think all plants are diffrent. i have a 4 week old, 3 foot plant, that has no smell.......and a 2 foot, 4 week old that has no smell, but, i have a 3 week old, 6 incher, that reeks.............. i just started vegging.......2 days ago........
i know, 4 weeks, 3 foot is rediculous, this things a super plant....lmao....

Yea I built that ONA contraption that Roseman posted too. It'll work great for two or three plants. Any more though and you would need to kick it up a notch. Personally I use that ONA bucket in my living room to cover the smell of the buds I smoke. My flowering plants need a carbon filter. I also have an ozone generator to complete the odor fighting triple threat.

Oh yea one more note about that ONA bucket. I recommending getting a product called Soil Moist to use with it. You can find it at any nursery/gardening shop. Mix 1 cup ONA, 1 cup Soil Moist, and 10 cups water for your solution in the bottom of the bucket. The Soil Moist will absorb the ONA and water slowly. Every week or so just pour some more plain water in and it pretty much recharges the solution. Just a way to stretch out your ONA. That stuff is kind of expensive.

yeah im doing 4 plants I think it will be good just need to figure out where to put it. but im not sure if im even going to do it more constant electricity im looking for another solution

IDK man anything that will actually put a dent in the smell permanently will use power. Whether it be carbon filter, ozone gen, or ONA bucket. I guess you could just buy the big gallon buckets of ONA gel and take off the lid and leave it. That's what the directions say. Let it sit until it dries out and then replace with a new one. Sounds way expensive.

I have been just leaving the small ona container open just behind the fan so it pulls from it but I like this idea better

thanks Roseman

interestring bucket idea!
mine smelled strong from week 2 until week 7 (where i am now)
the less humidity and less time i misted the less they smelled.
but with door closed and lots of misting, smells like jamiaca in here man
each week is different, right now at week 7 they have a plant like smell... smell the tops.
and leave the house, to get yer nose reset. so u can truly know what it smells like

i personally LOVE the smell
