Lying in state normally occurs in the Capitol Building. Who would guard the HUGE gold casket? Not the Capitol Police since the family knows the body would be covered in spit (or worse). I'm sure the Proud Boys will volunteer to guard the obese corpse but of course are enjoined from being there.

Agree that quite a few of his supporters will come to pay respects.
The interesting thing to watch will be how many politicians actually make a big hullabaloo about attending the funeral. They won’t have to continue to trip over themselves to sycophantically kiss his ass when he dies. He can’t pursue vendettas from beyond the grave and his kids don’t have the same pull that he does. Don Jr. has a following but is too dumb to ever get the same support as his father.
