2" is way too deep .. half an inch is plenty ... I use rapid rooter cubes these days myself, that way you can keep an eye on them but you never need to touch the seed again once the tap root emerges ... I've germed hundreds of seeds since I started using them ... one didn't sprout ... if I put the tray in a warm place I usually have seedlings in 3 daysabout 2 inches deep.
I tried putting them in a paper towel only 1 cracked. I soaked them in a water glass for 18 hours than a paper towel for 2 days.
Can I take them out the soil and try the paper towel method again? Do I have to soak them again? Thats if I didn't lose them in the soil.
