4 of the 96s and a hlg-480-54b is probably the best bang for your buck right now. get 6 if u can afford it. would be a lot cheaper now than it was when i built my light with the 96s.

If you can do DIY, save yourself half on the purchase of the light, plus get better quality ligh and go with Samsung led strips.
Yeah, I can do that; I just need to know what individual components to buy. I'm hearing jargon that I've never heard before.

Dont buy from Amare because there isnt any 3rd party testing. Buy from one of the many legit companies instead....like HLG, Timber and ChilLed
I guess you missed the latest Grand Master Level Show. They spent the first 15 minutes explaining how ChillLED lied in their reports.

If you were an HID grower before, you might find that CMH fixtures better suit your grow style and they're a huge upgrade from the single MH and HPS bulbs you used before.

Yeah Chilled Growcraft X6 was recently tested by Migro in real world tests and it was the most efficient light he ever tested at 2.39umol/W:

HLG QB96 comes out at around 1.98umol/J:

Pretty strong words. Dont know the history between the two companies, but no need for us here to become pawns for others commercial agenda. Should we be taken in by feigned indignance by individuals who's primary concern is most likely bumping up their own sales. No company is going to test a competitors product for philathropic reasons. Can be sure of that.

Impression I got was that they extrapolated figures from single bar/wattage tests to come up with figures for X bar configurations. Pretty dumb noobie mistake for a company to make, and not take into account driver and resistive losses. Their own fault for walking into that trap.

Funny thing is Chilled even uses the same lab as HLG. Heck even the stock/serial number and calibration date on equipment is the same. So we can all be happy that Chills individual bars test reports are accurate. HLG spotted a flaw/cock-up/omission on Chills part. Got the light tested, and confirmed the suspicion. And now we are talking about this in public forum. Win win. Both parties get airtime.

lol yeahhhh probably.

GML has form for wrongly going off about shit he doesnt understand when slating rival companies, think Steve had to wind him in before....? it wasnt a good look for HLG... i'd of sacked him there n then but i guess Canada's a big market....

Anyone told GML flushing makes no difference yet? the man made a career telling people the opposite...stands there with a bloody hose pouring water through his medium for DAYS.

Notice they paid for multiple tests, but not the par mapping. $900? Too expensive? I call B.S on that part. I bet a 2.6 bar light has way better par numbers over a 2.8 board light with a big hot spot in the middle. Where is HlG's bar light Stephen talked about months ago? How are they going to break 3.0 umols like he claimed?

I just look at ratio of led type in product. I am sheeple. Love efficiency claims. But then with the likes of Aussie High Lights and Rocket Soul favouring red end of spectrum, I compare the Diablo and the Growcraft and see Growcraft bringing that red.
