What's the average yield per watt?

What's the average yield per watt for an HPS, Standard LED and a Quantum LED?

I use a bunch of old mars 600s (240w) and hps reflectors.
Record from the blurps was 220z from 480w. About 1.2gpw.
Record for 600w hps in bloom is about 16oz.
A slighlty embarrassing number. I've got a couple of excuses for it but doesn't change the number lol.
I've seen quite a few guys that certainly seem legit claim 2-2.5gpw with qb leds.
I believe most of them.

Some people just guess their amount and do not weight it at all, i have had several discussions with people over the years who claim to make alot but they can never show pictures of scales from the harvest or after curing, when you tell people they need to divide the wet numbers with 4 to get a small peek into the final yields they get suprised, i genuinely think some people weight it wet and then just take 50% of that and call it their final numbers.

The times i wanted to claim my gpw i always weight it wet on harvest and afterwards and posted the pictures of the green on the scales, anything else is just bs, obviously some members are well respected and trusted, but i always prefered to be ready to proof my claims if anyone asked.

I've tried the wet weight thing once.
I only do a very rough trim then hang the full plant. My record for that was 11lbs and it dried to 17oz of bud lol.

Yeah only really works with a full wet trim. I always do it because I need a rough idea of what I have in.
Far too many variables for a classic dry trim method.

Looks like jungleboyz arent claiming anywhere near the yields everyone speaks of... in link above those plants look tiny.. like 12 inches ... its nice to see a large grow use them..Cali is going to make them mandatory at some point so maybe its better to be ahead of the curve for some these guys... but still DE HPS looks like king of the Hill
When judging that picture you may wanna take a few things under consideration:
- led buds from proper leds are really dense. Not dense like in a HPS setup, those buds tend to be hard but not really as dense as led buds. Led buds are almost half the size for same weight. Any light with a lot of IR seems to bulk up the buds with a lot of water that dissappears in drying. When i setup my growbuddys leds he was cursing me for smaller buds all thru the grow all the way till weigh-in, when he realised that what looked like approx half the buds weighed the same as the hps side.

- That setup doesnt look like its doing that great on a G/w basis; lights are quite high raised and maybe a bit overpowered. It loses a lot of light on the walls. Getting good G/w with leds is not based so much at growing more, its based on growing the same (or a bit moree) with radically less power. G/w is a shitty metric for leds grow-success, yield per area is much better and here Led and Hps are closer tied. But g/w led beats hps handss down, +2g/w is defo possible and has been done by various hhere.
