Well in the middle of the night the politicians were making criminals of some of you.

If you are a caregiver and you have any kind of felony in the last 10 years or any kind of drug felony or assaultive crime. You better start planning something different for your patients. There is more I suggest you all read these bills that were passed late last night and headed for the Governors desk.

Well my few questions to this statement are 1. Who supplied the politicians with speed so they could stay up through the night? 2. Why do we ever expect the politicians to change and make decisions for the people? Insane is the answer to all this. Its insane to keep thinking that the politicians would ever do anything right for the citizens and not for big business. Something needs to happen bigger than complaining on a web forum. Sorry I'm sick of these threads...in the end happy smoking! I hope that the new rules don't effect you bro

You guys ever look back at the original bills when they were introduced? Could have been far worse.

One good thing about them is that they clarified many things, like outdoor grows, so we don't have to worry about county by county enforcement. I also like the 2 year card, new condition panel, clearly defined standards, etc. The vast majority of the changes won't affect the way most caregivers and patients following the Act are already doing things. The biggest hit to me is the felons issue. It is unfortunate that there is no sundown provision for all.

any language on it. Any link to or info on whats
allowed for outdoor growers?

Have a look at the final version of 4851, completely defined as covered on all sides except for the bottom, out of site of the public, and secured to the ground. Note that 'all sides except for the bottom' confirms we are dealing with a cube, the TOP is a side that must be covered. It does not say all sides, the top, but not the bottom. If the bottom is specifically mentioned when discussing the sides, the top is a side too.

Time to stop arguing semantics about what is a side and what isn't, you have it in black and white, just do it. Cover the top, secure it to the ground, and screen it from the neighbors and the road. Why push a point that will get you charged?

They were voted on in the senate at 330am, then went to the house and were approved again at 420am. It is done except for the gov signing, they take effect next April.

Still have to follow plant counts, no intermingled grows, etc. But the cost savings for lights would really make it easier to reduce the price of medication. Plus no selective county by county enforcement.

If you are not interested in environmental controls such as CO2, you might consider something like the new cage type designs that utilities are using for plant (not botany) security. Furthermore, I do believe these already meet the legal standard of outdoor security ;-)
