lack of nitrogen perhaps ...

Nitrogen Deficiencies:
Plants will exhibit lack of vigor, slow growth and will be weak and stunted. Quality and yield will be significantly reduced. Older leaves become yellow (chlorotic) from lack of chlorophyll. Deficient plants will exhibit uniform light green to yellow on older leaves, these leaves may die and drop. Leaf margins will not curled up noticeably. Chlorosis will eventually spread throughout the plant. Stems, petioles and lower leaf surfaces may turn purple.

Those are pretty small plants in large pots. The soil on top looks quite dry. How much water do you use per plant when you water?

I think it's possible that you chronically underwater your plants and don't wet all the medium uniformly. So the roots haven't been able to fill the entire pot so they can't support much vegetation. When you water you should flood your pots thoroughly and don't water again until they are dry. Water the pot, not the plant. That's why it's better to grow your plant into the large container rather than put it in there when it's small.

The obvious alternative is that they are heavily overwatered! But since your soil looks so dry on top I'm going with the dry pot theory.

sometimes people over analyze their nutrient situation... except for that one bright yellow plant in the middle (weird) it looks like the only leaves that are yellowing are the ones wayyyy below... on the bottom of your plants, and since your plants are very healthy they have nice horizontal growth meaning LOTS of BIG fan leaves, which block the light from getting to the little ones below.

my suggestions is to take off the yellow leaves that don't stand a chance cause they are just sucking water and nutrients away from the healthy plant and then on some of your bigger plants cut off some of those huge fan leaves so that more light can get thru to the bottom. :) good luck mate!

His plants should be 2-3 feet high after one month under 1000W metal halide lights (2 of em).

hello! growing strictly in soil you see the pictures right? this isn't hyrdo they aren't going to grow that quick and all plant strains are different. But more than likely its N shortage.

thank you for your fast responses..i really appreciate any advice. If i remove the solid yellow leaves that dont stand a chance, and add superthrive to the water would that make these plant healthier? or should i continue with nutrients..does anyone have an idea of how i could add more nitrogen? please anyone ? thank you again.

Heat. Hot roots. Something has taken the rooting system out. May be gradually bad PH rising. Grub.. Somehow, the roots are not happy. I think heat has play in this.

If you had a nute sitch that was this far off, all of the plants would show a deficiency to some degree. You got a environment related stress problem.

Dude trust me when I tell YOu this,, dont listen too a word ne body in here has told you so far..
Ive had this happen b4... The best thing you can do is to flush your plants. The way you do this is to run water thru each one of your pots. depending on what size pots you have flush with 3 times as much. So if ur using 2 gallon pots pour 6 gallons of clean fresh water through eace pot. it mite take some time as u have to weight for the water to drain, continuing till 6 gallons goes through each pot.. This will flush out all toxin build up out of your pots. The toxin build up is why your plants are lacking nitrogen,as this blocks nutrients from getting to your roots.

Heat does not yellow the leaves its LACK of NITROGEN CAUSED BY toxic BUILD UP... FLUSH THOSE BAD GIRLS

okay.. the temp of the room varys between 74-80 degrees. with 30-50% humidity .i have used the OMRI Pura Vida Grow at 1/4 strength, then slowly up to 3/4 strength over there course of 9 waterings total in the past 28 days along with one drop of super thrive.. i was also advised to get them a couple inches off the ground due to the floor being cold..i herd that leads to purple stems. i put a fan so it will circulate more air under the plants to reach the roots better and keep them warmer.. as far as nitrogen problems all i should do is rid the yellowed leaves, flush meaning since i have 5 gallon pots to do total of 15 gallons per pot in order to get rid of the toxins. will this ensure my plants to regain full growth speed and health? also i was wondering if i should add any superthrive or Nitrogen addative that could be helpful? if anyone knows of a nitrogen supplement that may do these plants good please let me know..thanks alot, really appreciate the wisdom
