---!!!!TL;DR!!!!--- All of the very important information is in bold text. Please make sure you read these parts. I would appreciate it very much.

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.

I've been growing cheese since xmas, and currently just under about 2 weeks of flower.
This is my first grow and more of an experiment as I started it after simply finding a seed in a baggy I purchased from my dealer and decided to attempt to cultivate it so I am not surprised that it turned out to be herm.
I previously had no experience or knowledge growing any kind of plant, so I think the experiment was a success despite the plant turning out hermaphrodite. I have 2 feminized seeds in the cupboard which I'm eager to start as I know now I have learned enough to be able to grow these safely.

This is the only plant in my grow space which is 3sqft.

I took my plant out of the tent this morning for inspection and I found that some of the pistils had already started to turn orange. Upon further inspection I also found small pollen sacs growing on the plant which suggests that it has pollinated itself.

I sterilized my pruning shears and attempted to remove some pollen sacs and then realized there were many more of them than I initially thought and also there are some growing right in the middle of my bud sites. I don't want to ruin the female flowers by trying to remove male flowers that are very close to them.

Want to know what you think I should do. Below are what I believe to be my options currently. If you have a totally different idea, tell me!

A) Continue to let the plant flower, the buds may still continue to grow slightly. Flush and harvest once all pistils are orange and trichomes are milky and remove seeds from the product.

B) Flush the soil and harvest as soon as possible. The buds aren't going to get any bigger as the plant is focused entirely on producing seeds.

C) Dispose of the hermaphrodite and start the feminized seeds immediately.

THROW it OUT...

Good Luck

ps new growers always suffer this dis en attachment thing

like fisherman can't throw his first under weight fish back!

and so payes the cheating fine

for this reason members here always recomend you grow more than 1-4 plants

then wash down walls and gear with warm water and 10% bleach

C Dispose of the hermie and start the Femanized seeds. You also have to look at the problem on Why it Hermied on you. Was it genetics or some environmental factor you did. Do you have any light leaks? Was your temperature an Rh out of wack? You have to look at all the problems that could have happened so your next crop doesn't hermie on you.

No light leaks. Temperature very rarely below 20 celsius and also very rarely above 25 celsius. Plant slightly hungry but not severe or anything.

However the RH is actually out of wack a lot.
I live in the UK and it is very very humid. All the time. The grow tent is in my bedroom which is only 6ft by about 6.6ft - haven't moved out of my parents place yet.
I have been struggling to get humidity below 50% a lot of the time. Today my outdoor humidity is about 63%. The window is slightly open (cold) and my bedroom door is wide open. The RH inside the grow tent is 44% currently.

Inside the tent I have a small dehumidifier and 4 moisture absorbers (same thing as damprid). All of them are doing their job as they are filling up with water. When the window is shut the humidity rises significantly and early days flower I have seen it go up to almost 80% and felt like there was not much I could do but just hope for the best. I have 3 fans, one intake one outtake and one blowing on the plant to simulate wind.
I have tried window closed door open and window open door closed and there's not much of a difference. My RH drops the most when both are open.

I do believe that it was genetics since RH was pretty much the only issue I ever had during flower, and it was grown from a seed found in purchased bud, which means that the grower probably had males or herms hanging around, but it wouldn't surprise me if the RH played a part, possibly a bit of both. Unsure. I have read about people running experiments on their feminized plants and purposefully stressing the plant to see if it would herm and it didn't.

I would like to try and get a lower RH for my next grows even if this was just down to genetics to minimize the risk not only of hermies but also bud rot. If you have any tips or if there are any other measures I can take to reduce humidity please let me know.

I'm going to have to disagree with chucking it.
My advice is to finish your plant in flower and start your seeds now .
Your seeds won't be ready to put in flower for a least 4 or five weeks. Your other plant can be harvested in 5 weeks with some smokable bud.
You will also gain some experience flowering your tent getting it dialed in. Why throw it out? It's not like it's going to cross pollinate any other plants in your tent.
You will also have some smoke for your efforts too. My first plants grown were a bagseed that hermed a bit in flower. It was one of the best buds I've ever smoked.

Now I'm growing from breeder seeds but you have to start somewhere.

Go ahead and pop your bought seeds, but let the other plant finish. Bag seed's Daddies are usually named Herman, so no surprise this one did it. The best way to learn to grow is to grow.

Where should I place the new plants if I start them now? I have always wondered how to start new grows while I have another plant in flower as you couldn't put a veg in the same grow space if it's 12 hours light and 12 hours total dark. It would just try to flower immediately right? I feel like this could be a stupid question but it's been bugging me for ages.

Plants have to be sexually mature before they flower. That is 4-6 weeks for most strains. You could put them together under 12/12 until then. The ones in flower will be finished in time to kick up the light hours.

Plants will go from growing limbs opposite each other to staggered when they reach sexual maturity.
