What setup to use?

If SWIM was looking to do a grow in an attic, between 5-10 plants no more what would be the best way to go about it? Being done at a house where rents no longer live but still own the house and come back for the holidays. Enough time to go ahead in between their visits, around 12-15 weeks. A friend will do all the care taking and can visit the house either every day or every other day but the less possible the better. Any chance he could visit once every 3-4 days or more? Any specific system that will produce the most yield with least visits necessary? The house is very secluded and in a spacious area. Planning to use CFL's to prevent raised electricity bills, as the house is empty and nothing will be on apart from the grow lights it should be ok?

SWIM haha take that somewhere else. anyway your not gonna want to do 5 or 10 plants with cfl it just wont work. well it would but you would have to run a shit ton go with a 1000 watt hid setup for that many plants.

My other option is to grow one large plant at uni... which im beginning to think is a better idea. Just to go for large yield and do 3 grows throughout the year. If i pay a lot of attention to it how much can be produced from the one plant in 3 cycles?

it will depend on a lot of factors lights/nutes/training/if you run into any problems most likely you will if this is your first

and what do you mean 1 plant 3 cycles

Yeah you're right its not really possible to go with CFL's. My electricity bill would probably spike up at home which would make the rents suspicious. I think i will go with growing 1-2 plants at uni instead and use 4 CFL's and maybe supplement with one LED. What strain would you recommend for a full size cupboard style grow with the aim to get as much yield as possible? Would smell be an issue with just the one large plant? I smoke in my house anyway and no neighbor has had any issues.

I meant 1 plant but run 3 grows in the year instead of doing one large grow.

One plant say northern lights, 3 CFL's rated at 40w each, growing in coco coir.. happy to spend money on nutes

sorry man if you still live with your parents I cant help. why would you wanna risk them like that? do you have no respect? don't grow till you have your own place and stuff to risk. don't expect too much help from anyone here.

Option 1 was to grow in their holiday homes attic but I am going to grow at my rented house at university instead where me and 2 friends live. Thanks anyway

or at least make sure there ok with you growing dude, like i live with my nan but shes ok with it because my grandfather always grew it
make sure there ok with it

or if the house is secluded maybe do an outside grow that way they could always say that they knew nothing about it, if the cops were to ever find it

You guys are making me feel bad about even thinking about it. They live abroad and the house is empty and I have the keys so i thought why not but I guess I will just grow the one plant at uni and focus on maximising yield. Getting caught really isnt an option and im in england so the weathers too rubbish for an outside grow man.

im not trying to be a dick but its really not worth getting caught. im sure you would feel like shit if you parents ended up having to take the blame if you were to get caught.

I will just proceed with a single cupboard grow and get nerdy about producing the perfect plant. I have a cupboard with 7ft height and a 1msq area.

Yeah dude i get you. I am completely off the idea of growing at their house.. I'm 23 yrs old so it would be on me not them btw..

if you wanna pm me i can kinda give you the ins and out's of lst and supercropping it can make 1 plant have 5-10-15-20 top colas and you could get a good yield off of one plant man! with the space you have i bet you could yield 3oz of a good lst'd plant with 200watts of cfls, for your first time

good man well if you still wanted to run with cfl with that one plant then you could make it work back when I ran cfls I was pulling just about 6 ozs in a box I made from a dresser 2 plants lots of lst I was running little over 400 actual watts of cfl.

Just buy weed til u have ur own spot....u cant pull off a successful grow under somones elses nose

Oh well hell....I didnt read this part....shit if nobodys around find ya a closet n keeo it small...surely ud have some kinda warning if they were coming bk...I wldnt worry abt getting caught w one or two plants.

Yeah dude no one lives there. Only I have the keys and when they come into the country I tend to be the one to go pick them up, my dad works out in the middle east. However its still not worth it, I am just going to stick to a small grow at my rented house for university.
