What oil do I use?

my 16" fan that I use both for personal usage and my tent. The motor keeps getting stiff because its so hot it keeps stiffening up which in result either it completely stops spinning or spins slow. I've tried cooking oil which lasts couple of days then same happens again, any oil out there I can buy from ebay?

I have that same problem with one of my fans, it just slowed WAY down. Where do you put the oil?

You have to take apart the blade, open the plastic housing (few screws front and back, pull it off), then open up the front panel of the motor, grease up the pointy metal stick/part where the plastic blades sit at, and also the metal surrounding it (not the copper wires) then spin it few times (metal part shapped like a stick/arrow) until when you spin it it feels very loose and you feel the change on how easily i it spins without much effort.
You may need to scrape off the old dried oil first before putting the oil.

i like box fans...
~2000 cfm ~$16


for extraction purposes... i use inline obviously, the years ive been running indoor, never had an issue? with either type of fan....


get a new fan bro

That's stupidity and just throwing your money away, idc if it's $5 if it can be fixed, it shall be fucking fixed, I'm not ordering it, then waiting for it to arrive (depending on when the fuck and what the fuck time it arrives) and then if i miss it I have to go collect it from the post which is like else where and the queue is long af then got to carry it back to my house so fuck that shit.
Money doesn't grow on fucking trees.:weed:

It works fine, but when you have them oscillating a lot which is the mistake I did, it wears em out quicker because they have to do 2x more of a work.

I forget what it's called. There's a red grease oil that lasts forever. Back in the day I used it on the bearings on my board. And on the bottom bracket and head tube on my bike when I was a kid back in the bmx days and the skater days.
