I'll be using FFOF soil. Should I add a lot of perlite so the roots can expand rapidly, water with high N early? Should I mix in worm castings? Any help is appreciated.
What is the fastest way to get from seed to pre-flower stage in soil?

No pounds if you go straight to 12/12 from seed. More like grams.

If.you are trying to rush a grow then dont grow. It takes a long time and patience. 2-4 months veg time. 2-4 months flower time. At least 1 month curing flowers.
No on perlite. Use pumice or rice hulls instead. Perlite floats and eventually breaks down into a powder that clogs the soil. Definitely add worm castings. Make the the castings about 33% of the mix. How fast it's going to grow depends on genetics.
You should amend the soil and let it cook for a month before using too.
If you're just doing a pheno hunt from seed then veg for at least 6 weeks. Seeds always take longer than clones in veg and flower.
Plants show sex in veg around day 40

Takes time man. Plants have to grow and that takes time. For fastest growth give them the perfect environment.

From seed to pistils that give away the sex as a female... i have never had a problem seeing thise in less than 40 days.
It has always been consistent 30 to 36 days for me in 11 grows. I dont know how it could be any faster....genentics maybe...

Take clones and keep them vegging. Then throw the originals under 12/12 and sex, then put em back into veg. or continue on and get what you will get, not much IMO.
