What is better, right spectrum or more watts

Hi there,

I've got a clone in veg under 24/0 and I want it to become a mum. The question is that right now I've two bulbs I could use for the clone but I'm not sure which one would give me a better growth rate:

150W 2700k CFL. More watts but wrong spectrum for veg (this is what I'm using right now)
65W 6400k CFL. Less watts but right spectrum

It must be one or the other, it can't be both and I'm not buying a new bulb for the next 2-3 months.

What do you guys think ?

I use 23w CFL's from the grocery store, at a 3 to 1 ratio.
Veg - 3, 6500K for every 1, 2700k...flower is the other way round.

But if you're not going to get more bulbs, use both lights for veg and flower.

I would go with the 65 watter...cheaper, in terms of electricity use, and your plant will grow its nodes closer together...red light promotes stretching...

Thanks for the reply guys, I'm gonna change the bulb and use the 65w 6700k bulb for awhile to see how the plant feels about it :)

Hey dude, how is it going with your plant? Now that it's summer (almost) you can also put it next to the window on sunny days. It will LOVE the natural light! It's what I do to save on electricity bills...even for flowering, I have them in direct sunlight for most of the day, then under a 250 watt hps for the rest of the 12 hours.
