Did they build it? should it be built?

Should muslims be allowed to do such a thing?
I don't know if it was built.

Should muslims be ALLOWED to build a mosque at or near ground zero? Of course! Just like the Klan has a right to march in Harlem, and the Nazis have a right to march in Skokie, and the Black Panthers have a right to march in Irvine, and the crazy Westboro Baptists have a right to march around praising God that some 18 year old American soldier was killed in Afghanistan

The real question is: SHOULD muslims build a mosque at ground zero? Only muslims can answer that question. Many have written editorials advising against it.

My opinion is: it depends. Building a mosque and making genuine conciliatory gestures to the thousands of innocent people who were murdered there by muslim extremists would be seen by many as a good thing. Building a mosque at ground while extending the middle finger and claiming constitutional rights will only lead to further conflict.

Is that too "right wing" for you?

Can you use march march march march to justify build, however? They're not quite the same in intent, execution or consequence. cn

If that question is directed at me, my answer remains unchanged:

Allowed... Yes!

Good idea... maybe.
I'm suggesting that you're using examples of "march" to support your argument for "build". Apples and oranges, say I. I don't see the march examples either advancing or harming the build argument due to relevancy issues. cn

I disagree, but that's what makes the world go round. All are examples of conduct that many perceive as objectionable, which are never the less completely legal.
