Been out of it for a while,

I remember when everyone was raving about GLH LED's... Is GLH still in the zone for top of the line LEDs. Mike was a pretty descent guy...

I see people are having a "Solarsotrm" boner at the moment.

So is GLH still kickin it?

As in Grow LED Hydro, right? Look for the thread."Im offically a LED grower. Spectra Im here." Not a lot of Spectra love going on there, though you can say the jury is still out for some people on that thread. I've never used one but they do seem problematic. And Solarstorm's are sooo 5 minutes ago :).

I spent an hour writing out exactly why Spectra's need another look. Suffice it to say that it all got deleted. I'll sum up some points: 1. They were sold to me as "Supplemental green house lighting" 2. Once I added in more full spectrum lighting all was well 3. I had rows go out and Mike immediately sent me new components to replace the old power supplies. 4. The inside of the unit is simple and metal; metal case, board, and massive heat sink 5. I'm saving more money than even expected on electricity, and I got a bulk discount on buying 4 lights at once along with being a grower.

Personally I went through hell, but it seems worth it for the customer experience and the fact that the results are literally the best Cannabis I have ever grown and smoked. If you want Spectras to work add in 2700k and 6500k light. It's that simple.
Sincerely,
ILovePlants

P.S. Smoking some Grandaddy Purps x Sour Diesel x Train Wreck, The higher nute strains seem to prefer the high out put of the Spectra light.

I am still unsure on how to use these in flower... I usually supplement with hps 50/50... but still my shit got burned...

ive just visited their website, it seems their LEDs are not single-core?
Some says dual or multiple-core LEDs could get problems more often? Who knows?

I am just finishing up my first newbie grow and I'm using one of these lights. I haven't had any tragedies...though it has been kinda scary with the strange leaf tints, bleaching, burning. oh and reducing the height of my plant by half....

unfortunately it looks like my yield will be rather small. I hope that with a little better care of the ladies next round I can still get more out of this light. And experimenting with supplemental CFL doesn't sound bad - HPS is too much for summertime just around the corner.

Hey guys this is Michael from Spectra LED. For some reason my Growledhydro and SpectraLED user names got banned. Anyway I saw all the comments and thought I should clear some things up. I put the company up for sell because I figured that if there is someone out there who has the passion and capital to take this business to the next level then why not give it to someone like that? I do have some other dreams/ideas i want to pursue and thats also part of the reason. If the company doesn't sell I will still be here, I am still very passionate and committed to provideing the best led grow light panels for you guys and i am still planning and documenting a grow on here as long as i dont get banned. I will not be closing down Spectra LED if the business does not sell, your warranty's will still be honored and I have already changed the panels and went back to the 2010 models. When the website is done it will be called GrowSpectraLED.com Currently it is under www.SpectraLEDgrowlights.com

In regards to the problem, shit I dont know what to say.. I have never encountered this issue myself, I have gone back and forth with my manufacture my customers with the issue and still no resolve, no one knows why this is happening. I have tried to change some many things and nothing has helped, hell ask stoney. The issue seems to have only effected a few customers compared to how many panels I have sold. Here is a link to a guy who is doing a grow test, he has no problems and he's used over three versions of my Spectra lights. Link: http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-gr...w-led*-27.html

Thanks for posting this. It looks like they already deleted in over at the other forum.

It seems Mike has decided to sell his whole LED company, so who will take the responsibility and warranty for the past purchasers?

Did you even read it.
Yes. Here is his original post on ebay:

This is just a short description. This is a serious money making business with much more room to grow, I get orders daily so you will start making money immediately. There are more details please contact me.

For sale is my business Spectra LED which is a L.E.D. plant grow light business.

I average $300+k a year in gross sales. Backed by paypal and tax statements for the past 2.6 years

Steadily growing business with positive costumer feedback and return customers.

You get two websites. GrowLEDhydro.com SpectraLEDgrowlights.com along with over two dozen domain names (spectraledgrowlights.com is still under construction if you buy in time you can customize the website yourself with my developer. The site has already been paid in full)

My trade marked name Spectra LED

Exclusive pricing for inventory from my factory. Also you can customize your own design for the same low price.

I have a new project and have to make a sacrifice to fallow a dream, so I have decided to sell my LED grow light company. This business is very profitable and the right person can easily make this a multi million dollar company with just a small investment and dedication. I average about 4 hours a day on the business with only word of mouth for my advertising and I have been able to pull an average of 300+k each year with very minimal effort.

This business is priced to sell fast no joking around. I will only entertain serious buyers. I know for a fact you cannot find a business with profit margins like mine and making this kind of cash for this kind of price and you can run it from home with just yourself, so please if your not a serious buyer please do not waste my time. Serious buyers please contact me with your questions and I will respond promptly.

Priced to sell! If you have questions and are a serious buyer please contact me!

No stak's post mike says he will honor the warranty. Most likely the new owner will have to be responsible for all warranties whenever they take over.

Yeah

its clear to stay far away from this company.

shady journals to promot product, horrendous customer service, faulty product.

and LEDs just don't cut it in flowering, UNLESS only uses as supplemental to HID

My 1st ever LED light was a 60w (1w) panel from Mike?Cammy? whatever his/her name is/was. From the day i paid I heard nothing from him for over a week and waited a month for the panel which turned up half working. He did have a new power supply sent within a week which is good (but not hard work really). The light was brilliant in veg and unimpressive in flower. I'm not sure why people big up his lights when really they aren't his light, they are the Chinese lights with his sticker on them. And I really can't imagine him spending hours and hours of his time experimenting with different spectrum ratio's and what not. Anyway in hind sight I feel i was ignorant at the time and gullible paying out silly money for a light i could of bought for less than half the price direct from China.

I think I agree , I feel stupid for believing the tales, they work fine for veg but I would never go back from HPS, my first 3 led grows from Mike all failed, I was sure it was me ( it a damn weed, WTF, why me?), then changed to 400 watt HPS first grow got 7 ozs., never looking back, but moving to 600 watt HPS next

Some sellers are good with marketing and some other are good with designing shit that works. I'll say that it's definitely not the most hyped that are the best.
