What does immunity for Clinton email staffer signal? Has a grand jury convened?

Actually I have. It was done just for my own training and to see just how it felt. Believe me its torture. Feels like you about to drown and can't do shit about it. I didn't last long until I said enough.
I guess I have to eat some crow on that one.

Still, I would never deny that it's scary as fuck. But you're no worse for wear becuase of it. Becuase there is no lasting harm beyond a memory of being scared I come down on the side that it approaches but doesn't surpass the line that defines torture.

Calling water boarding torture leads to sleep deprivation and sensory overload being called tortur. Comfort isn't a right.

You do realize for those of whom were waterboarded ALSO stayed in small cells while awaiting torture, right?

You basically said, you think that people just live there lives normally, then one afternoon they get picked up, waterboarded for a few minutes, then sent on their way. You are dumb. So very very dumb.
You'd have to be very dumb to interpret it that way.

I'm simply saying that under the circumstances of being in a confined cell one might look forward to the daily venture out of the cell, even if it is to go to the water board.

You have a complete misunderstanding of what waterboarding even entails

You're not laying there thinking your captors are just going to pour water on your face for a little while until you either give up what they want to know or don't, then just let you go...

It is simulated drowning, they make you believe you are going to die. They do it until you give up the information.

Not only that, the information that is given up is unreliable, potentially putting other soldiers lives at risk.

It's clear those arguing in favor of torture are only doing it because Trump is doing it. If Obama came out and supported waterboarding, all of them would oppose it because of who it's coming from. This is the type of shit that makes me ashamed to be associated with other Americans like them.

I'm fine if it's done for punishment and for the sadistic pleasure of the rough men performing the act.

The information usually isn't acted upon unless it's consistent with what is already known. The CIA is good at piecing together stories from various sources. The lies men tell to get them to stop can even often be revealing.

I would never suggest that we depend only on it. But to remove it from our quiver of arrows is foolhardy.

And no... the men know they're being waterboarded and not dunked in a pool of water to he drowned.

I guess pulling out fingernails is not torture to you as well. It's just uncomfortable, because they can grow back:roll:. Do you have to practice being stupid or does it just come naturally.

That makes you no better than ISIS. Congratulations, beliefs like this put our country more at risk

How do you know? Where's the evidence that supports your claim?
The CIA is good at piecing together stories from various sources. The lies men tell to get them to stop can even often be revealing.
All you're doing is attempting to justify torture because the presidential candidate you support supports it. US and international law says it's torture no matter what anybody says, feels, or believes about it.
I would never suggest that we depend only on it. But to remove it from our quiver of arrows is foolhardy.
It's illegal, we are not allowed to do it at all. What the fuck is so hard to understand about this? ISIS isn't allowed to do it either, they break the law, that's what makes them THE BAD GUY. Fucking idiots. That's why the entire world is fighting against them. If we do it too, WE BECOME THE BAD GUY.
And no... the men know they're being waterboarded and not dunked in a pool of water to he drowned.
It's simulated drowning, that's why it's torture. If it didn't simulate drowning, it wouldn't be effective at getting people to talk. Are you completely fucking retarded or what? This is why you have no problem with it, because you don't understand what it is. You think it's some guy laying on a board with a sippy cup of water being poured over his face. Your ignorance is astonishing.

I've often set waterboarding against true torture and cited pulling out fingernails becuase of the intense pain the later causes.

Sorry this one time I forgot to mention that. Severe pain and permanently damaging someone is tortur. Scaring them isnt.

Boys, we're not talking about letting cops do this in drug investigations... nor in pow situations in war time.

We're talking about fucking terrorist. People who rape women accused of crimes so they can bypass the Islamic prohibition on executing virgins. They have no rights and are total scum.

see, you tried to say this only applies to terrorists, but you slipped and let it be known that it is just muslims that make you pee your pants.

so sad to be you, always in a state of fear and worry.

Yes... becuase being willing to get rough with the people who throw homosexuals off of buildings for no reason puts me on their same level.
Your willingness to torture people puts you on their same level

They are bad because they break the law, so explain to me how us breaking the exact same law makes us good?

Well at least you're trying to be part of society. Most people with severe mental retardation are confined to group homes, they seemed to have overlooked you.

You have an extremely limited and one dimensional understanding of human rights

Every single human being in existence has rights, it is the people that violate those rights that are scum

They aren't bad because they break the law, they're bad because they have no respect for human life. They've forfeited their humanity then.

As Christopher Hitchens used to say, the moment you say Sadam Hussien or ISIS are "bad guys" you've just proven you have no idea what you're talking about.

How can you say you have respect for human life when you're sitting here advocating for the use of torture?
