What do you miss the most ... from the 70's

Well I was taking a ride down memory lane looking through some old pictures. You know the kind you took with your Kodak camera that had the little square blocks you put on top to get a flash. That got me to thinking about what I miss the most. Lets face it, we all had a favorite car at some point, mine was a 71 Olds Cutlass.

But what I really miss the most I think was my original copy of the limited edition of "High Times Encyclopedia of Recreational Drugs". I had notations and dog eared pages and I spent many hours looking at the book. The sad part is that I loaned it to a friend (thought he was anyway) and he abruptly moved out to Edmonton to get in on the big job boom. I never saw it again.

So, Boyd Bradley, where ever you are, you are a fucking lowlife thief. Jeez that felt good.
I miss really good LSD and a decent erection.

Shit l used to live close enough to experience the 2nd pic. Hard to believe it exploded like that
I know! I went every year (almost) from '61 to '80. It was still pretty mellow then.

But in '06 I saw the place with my daughter. It was new to her and completely changed for me, no longer the sleepy beach. Boomboxes and sunscreen smell everywhere. And pretty much no seashells.

The single thing I miss the most is....the way I thought the world was.

I guess what I mean is, that I could be floating on an inner tube on a hot summer day...and that was all there was...I wasn't worrying about anything....no bills, responsibilities....just water, rubber, sun and bliss. It didn't stay that way long....but I miss being that kind of human being even if it was just for a short time.

That Quaalude ad is awesome .. wish I had some. Different world.
But the best thing about the seventies was the music, comon.
Cars were shitty and undependable, no internet, and pussy was way too bushy.
Not that I'm old enough to remember. Childhood amnesia isn't a bad thing.
The worst thing was pantyhose. Many of us wanted to meet the jerk that invented pantyhose just so we could punch him in the nose.
The next worse thing was Disco and coke. We are family my ass. Get away from my coke unless you're putting out.
And even worser was women going back to wearing bras. Wet tee shirts and cold days. <sigh>
Honorable mention, Nixon, Carter and Khomeini
Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end.

One of the few things I liked about the 1970s was pantyhose (Cantrece II), after garter belts and nylons they were a miracle! Guess it depends on your perspective. I thought the music was horrific after the 60's; disco, UCK

I worked very hard in the 70's and if I wasn't in the air I was in a classroom, rarely home, rarely saw my kids. It was a nightmare of constant tiredness and always needing to be in more than one place at a time and not getting everything done. I hated it.

The 60's on the other hand were heaven.

We use to get a pig carrying a brief case wearing a suit lsd I don't know if it had name.

The best acid I dropped was on plain white blotter paper and it was larger than normal.
