What BBQ grill to buy?!

I currently have 3 grills . Bought a stainless steel Webber genesis gas with a side burner about 5 years ago. This grill is the one we use regularly. I bought a Chargriller akorn....it's a big green egg knock off about 2 years ago . I use that one for smoking
and a traditional charcoal kettle grill made by Webber . I've had this one for about 10 years. For a charcoal grill it has very good heat control . I could make due with any of the charcoal grills but my wife enjoys grilling also and enjoys the ease of the gas grills .

I like having both also. On my gas, I can put a prime rib roast on the rotisserie, and eat like a fucking king.
I like the lil bit more expensive weber kettles for when I'm feeling charcoal. The one I like has the grill where you can lift up parts of it so you can add more charcoal if needed.
@MrStickyScissors
Are you bringing this bbq to the bbq? If so, whatcha cookin? Because if you're still bringing a keg, I'm hanging out with you bro:-D

I was thinking about bringing one of my gas grills with rotisserie, so I can do up prime rib, but I ain't gonna have the room.

I don't like those rinky dinky grills you buy from the home depot and shit. They may look shiny and shit. But they all fall apart after a couple years.

Have a welding shop build you a 55 gallon barrel grill.. They are big enough that can grill or smoke with them.

They cost about the same maybe less.. But they will last forever..

The weber I get lasts a good ten years, everytime. I think i'm on at least 12 with my current one
I'm a huge fan of weber grills. The one touch gold is only $150 and you can do anything with it. If you have a few extras hunnits, you can get the weber performer. Now that's a badass grill right der.

Well the old ones are definitely better than the new ones.. Mine always fall apart.
Are you talking about Webers falling apart on you? Because I baby the shit outta mine. I've got the cover for it and when I'm done and it cools, I put the cover right back on. Never let ashes sit in your grill, always clean it out after every use. Those ashes are what will rust out the bottoms.

I guess I'm just rough on shit.. And I move around a lot.

I'm just talking about plastic handles, thin metal and usually they are wobbly.

But I uss to have a weber from the early 90's with thick metal and made with actual grade 5 bolts.. I loved it..

What I'm saying is quality has went down hill..

And besides that seasoned smokers always taste way better. So the longer they last, the better tasting food is

Shit I need a big heavy steel offset smoker, but the one I want is pricey as fuck.

as fellow Texan I have one I those too. That's what I smoke my brisket in. A little kitty litter in the bottom to absorb the grease will make it last longer

My son got married 5 years ago and that weber performer grill was something I got for him as a wedding gift......because all men need a good grill !

Just... Whatever you do... Don't use any type of charcoal starting fluid. Yech. So unnecessary. Get a chiminey.

Except you Mexicans. It seems to be a religious thing or in your genes or something.
Fuck that! I've got like 3 chimney's. Lighter fluid has never been used in any of my grills/smokers. But you are right, when I go to my family's get togethers, it's bud light and lighter fluid.
