What are your top 5 strains, and why?

Well as Title states, what are you top 5 strains? I've never ordered seeds and I'm going to someday but I've been looking into different strains to use etc... Mainly doing this for strain ideas... Don't wanna get something shitty lol. So anyways, what are your top 5 strains you grew and why?

Nothing with dutch genetics
nothing TGA
nothing THC farmer
nothing Cali connection

because they suck!

Anything from dna has been fine with me..top five I've grown and liked were sharksbreath,lemonskunk,sleeskunk,white widow and cannadential..cannadential was great all around..vegs fast,flowers fast,knockout stone,bag appeal.. a def 9.9 on my scale..
And also after a few years I'm done with feminized seeds unless its a strain I want but can't get unless its fem...hope this helps!

one of the best to hit all of those points, G13 labs Pineapple express. every seed has been a winner so far for me.

Venus Flytrap and Chrystal both from Nirvana are great under-rated strains.

Dinafem - Dinachem has a very strong high and great tolerance education just like OGK but is much better all around to grow.

one thing is for sure... price and hype sure dont dictate quality and reliability.

I usually smoke what I grow but I'm changing methods from soil, to coco hempy buckets feeding kiss style using a w.o w under a 600w prior to this, I was using a 400w. So if I can yield enough to smoke, and sell a little on the side that would be good.

Basically... Something good smoke and good sales. Justanotherbozo convince me to change methods lol. I'm hoping the first grow can pay for the money I spent and am still spending lol. Also forgot to mention the grow is going to be bare bulb vertical

My top 5: Apollo 13, Sunshine Daydream, Jack Herer, Platinum Kush, and Kosher Kush. 5 other good options are Sour Bubble, Jack the Ripper, Super Lemon Haze, Candyland, and Bubba Kush.

lol, the thc farmer is not even a breeder, it's a website... it'd be like saying, don't buy those riu genetics m8, as they're hermie prone..

well i was already gonna suggest PE again and then i read about the vertical bare bulb grow. PE is super burn/heat resistant everytime ive grown it. im actually putting it to the test this time around(kinda by accident)
it also yields very well and its one of those strains that when its done right, people will be impressed by the smell and looks. so its a great strain commercially. plus it flowers very fast for being somewhat sativa.
the high is great. a good mixed high. decent tolerance education, much better than most big yielders.

only strain i know that would be better is the Grape Ape that i run. but only way u can get that is if u live in SE michigan and u get one of the clones from my original plant. all of the above plus nearly 100% purple. sometime PE turns purple too tho.

Dinachem would be another good one too man. it just isnt as forgiving as the Pineapple Express. but it does have a bit stronger high, and top of the line tolerance education.

i love this strain. it had a lot of haters because of the hype surrounding chem genetics. but i can tell u from my own experience that next to other chem plants (tcc, clones) this one was the keeper easily. mainly because it grew so much better all around, and still had at least as good of a high if not stronger.

i thought of this and posted because i was gonna say if its just for myself and i dont care how much it yielded id only grow the strongest OGK i could find. and then i remembered that i have a stash of very very good OGK, and honestly the Dinachem i have stashed along with it is just as good if not better in its own ways. so i figured why not point out this gem of a strain.

plus dinafem has a good track record as a breeder. high times even commented on how they are ahead of most of the globe in the breeding department.

honestly G13 labs is also the only other breeder ive bought seeds from that ive had as much success with as well. every seed of the PE has been a keeper, not just a decent plant. ive had one single OGK seed from dinafem not grow out right, and it could have been partly my error. all the rest of the dinafem beans ive popped where total keepers as well.

u dont want seeds that arent reliable. those 2 are quite the opposite imo.

Only been harvesting since late 2012, so take my post with a big ol' grain of salt...

My favorite strains from my stash (yes, still have some from my first harvest in July 2012):

1) Delicious Cotton Candy - nice wake n' bake weed, let it go too long imo, but have two more on tap
2) Female Ceeds Neville's Haze - the best morning weed, no red eye, great head high
3) Sweet Ceeds Green Poison - my psychedelic night time smoke
4) G13 Labs Pineapple Express - works every time
5) Rokerij Amnesia Haze - sleeper of the bunch

Highland Thai (Juicy Fruit Thai) is by far the best smoke I've ever experienced. Light green buds (almost yellow) that smell and taste of Juicy fruit gum with a buzz that's so clear and free of anxiety that you wouldn't even realize you were high if the EXTREME euphoria hadn't kicked in. If you've ever taken a lortab then you know that feeling where everything is just fine-- like a blanket of well-being has come over you and there is nothing wrong in your life, only good. Highland Thai has that super happy lortab head high but instead of the lortab numbing body buzz, you have an energetic feel. You just have this urge to be around people and have conversation. No other strain can compare and I wish the seedbanks would deal more with it. I do know that DJ Short used it to make his Blueberry and I'm sure it's in other strains as well, but not nearly enough!

No shit racer The worst seeds are ones that never arrive. THC farmer cant be trusted yes I added it to the mix!


I guess I will throw in a strain that I recommend though.
Emerald triangle blueberry headband

C99 best taste and quality weed you will get
TGA Chernobyl (justn finding a great pheni that yields) but quality and flavour only second to above
My own purple mazar

Others are just rebranded Skunk#1 and afghani that same quality as it was 10 yrs ago

I really appreciate the info. Especially about the breaders because there is so many of them I don't know which to choose.. Looking at pe, I think I'll prolly give it a shot whenever I got some spare cash. I'm going to look into the strains listed and write some of them in my little notepad I got for my growing stuff so I don't forget...

I would recommend HSO's Blue Dream. It is a very solid strain that is almost an exact replica of itself with every seed. Not a lot of variation between phenos, but all of them have been keepers. It is an easy plant to grow that gets big fast. This strain has a lot of vigor. I think this strain is a descent yielder. It is an easy plant to pull 4 ozs. of dried meds under a 400w light. The taste is just superb imo. It has a fruity blueberry taste and smell with a somewhat spicy haze undertone. The buds are rock hard nugs that are just glistening with THC. The buzz is quite potent. It is more for your experienced smokers though. It has an uplifting and energetic high at first, but you get the body numbing after 10-20 minutes. I honestly can't say enough about this strain. People should definitely give this strain a shot! I have grown out G13's Pineapple Express, and I have to agree with everyone that it was a really nice strain that yielded descent. This strain appears to be pretty stable too. Everyone liked it in my circle. I'm just about finished growing a Pineapple Chunk for the 2nd time. Man this strain really stinks. It has the strongest skunk smell I have encountered out of everything I have grown. I touch this plant and you can just smell it everywhere. It has to be a high CBD strain, because it is total couchlock, and I love it. Not a great yilder, but the buds are rock hard and crystal covered. Odor control is a must with this one. The taste was just great to me. It is definitely one of my favorites.

let be known that the PE has some C99 in it btw... at least im like 99% on that.

and the dinachem is plastered all over the centerfold of hightimes this month for top strains of the year. im telling u dinachem or PE are like an automatic score! imo at least! i have a bit more exp. with the PE just cuz its been out longer tho.

if u dont want Feminised seeds... id goto the Breeder's Boutique. they have a sale right now on three strains, three great strains. they are very good peeps. always get freebies... and they hang out right here on RIU. go check out Club 600 or search for Breeder's Boutique. theres a few threads those guys hang out in. great people. i have 4 of their strains. so far the psycho killer is the only one ive been able to grow. alot like PE really, just more sativa. nice strain. no fems tho.

If it is in high times and
a cup winner it probably sucks also.

I will add og raskal white master kush-(round bud pheno) to the mix of good to grow -keeper

smell, taste, appearance-frosty dense buds with no fluff, pulls decent yields for a med strain. This one you will think you dont have that much until you weigh it. Buds are dense and very heavy for there size. Untopped this pheno pulls its branches dead even or even slightly
passed the center cola making a perfect canopy with with excellent light penetration. needs longer veg. stretches in flower to a multi topped kind of og looking plant

not sure how true this is, but i've heard from numerous peoples that pe is a trainwreck x...

stupid barney's calls their pineapple chunk autoflower "pineapple express"

some folks swear there version is pineapple kush x trainwreck.

ive also heard a few arguments that pineapple express either is or has the pineapple pheno of C99 in it.

i mean G13 does happen to sell a c99 now... idk.

i feel ya racer. ive dug and dug for this one. so unless the true parentage of G13 labs PE has come about in the last year or so they dont want anyone finding out apparently.

EDIT: u ever smoke or see real trainwreck or or maui wowie?? im pretty sure its easy to find decent pics and info for both with a quick search. i highly doubt thats the right parentage for g13 labs version after giving it a second thought.

the g13 labs version has some indica from somewhere... but trainwreck and C99. one of those is most likely in the parentage. early sativas. hell who knows tho. maybe its some damn bagseed from a 10 pound brick back in 95 or something. hah.
