What are these yellow things by base of plant ?

Fungus aka mushrooms. In the early stages. Gnats carry fungus aka fungus gnats. There could be a connection here. I've had a couple soils have this happen over the years, can be because the soil is fertile but exposed to the spore somehow. It can also happen because the soil is tainted.

I will remove and I have yellow sticky traps keeping the gnat problem at bay. I always end up with gnats. Maybe a problem with foxfarm soil ?
I do t see any yellow fungus or anything in the plants it self just that one spot.

Now I know you were just getting at the point that its early stages for the fruit (the mushroom) itself. But I'm pedantic dickhead so here we are lol

Earth worm castings. I raise my own worms now but, I had good luck with 'Wiggle Worm" brand on Amazon. It won't burn your plants even it is in full contact with your plant. If you don't use a mulch to cover it, it will get a bit crusty.
There are insects in with the castings {Hypoaspis Miles} and the love to eat Gnat larvae. It is much safer than chemical remedies! Any other questions, just ask!
