that "primal scream" lapsed into a pathetic whisper.

o'donnell got owned by a bearded marxist.
angle went down in flames to harry fucking reid, face of the democrats.
buck will lose his bid for colorado in which he was highly favored for a long time.
miller will lose...to a WRITE IN rino.

even toomey, more republican then tea party, barely held on.

the only extremists that made it through were paul and demint.

congrats on that EPIC win over alvin greene *snickers* and pulling off that real barn burner in kentucky. no one EVER could have predicted that...

the tea party extremists were REFUDIATED (sic) last night.
Which party lost control of the House? Madame Speaker - Repudiated.

Which party lost six seats in the Senate? Democrats - Repudiated.

I'd say primal scream is appropriate. Nobody expected the Democrats to just roll over.

The O'Donnell defeat was expected.

Democrats had to pump so many resources into Nevada that they were forced to neglect other races.

The Teabaggers were victorious.

You may spin defeat any way you wish if it makes you feel better. The absence of a total defeat is still a defeat.

It was the Democrats under the Chosen One who got their asses handed to them. Not the other way around.

I gotta get my hands on the strain you are smoking, Buck.

just like the o'donnell defeat, the party in power is expected to lose seats in the midterm.

hell, we even held onto the senate. i did not expect that.

the most prominent (and extreme) examples: miller, buck, o'donnell, and angle - all were defeated despite most of them after holding decent leads in the polls.

only rubio and paul made it.

maybe if the tea party was not full of such extremists, you might have won the senate, and then be able to qualify this as a "primal scream".

as for now, the majority of prominent self labeled tea partiers fell in defeat, one of them to the very face of the democrats in the senate.

sure, it was a defeat, the house was pretty bad, but we held onto the senate and still have the whole executive branch.

and you know what they say about having 2 things out of a possible 3?

BUCK: 7 seat Senate gain is EPIC dude. 60+ seat House gain is EPIC dude. 10+ Gov seats is EPIC dude. You watch MSNBC don't you?

I think you are right though, the tea party needs to choose better candidates. However, Palin spent as much time supporting the Governor races where it sure showed. Also, for a 1 year old party.....no too bad for astroturf

On Pailin, she hardly has the Midas Touch: O Donnell, Miller, etc......her endorsed candidates did around 50%, her approval ratings are also worse than Obama.....If she's gonna be the candidate in 2 years it will be a real treat for the Dems.

Now that some of the Tea Partiers have been elected comes the hard part;actually governing instead of dispensing sound bytes. Whats really gonna be epic is Bachman being the head of the Tea Party Caucas, thats gonna be a laugh riot. You would have thought that after seeing their most extreme candidates get smoked they would have found a more moderate or at least sane person to be their figure head.
Its real easy to say "were gonna cut spending", harder to actually say where (not one has); and even harder to get re-elected after cutting Grandmas SS or some other benefits. The Dems have been eating a shit pie for 2 years, welcome to the table Republicans, enjoy.

Even more epic is gonna be the fight for the control of the Republican party, I noticed that in his address today The Orange Man kept calling them "The Tea Party" NOT Republicans. Get ready for the real battle to begin, the general elections yesterday were just the warm up act. The "Old school" like the Orange Man and Turkey Neck are gonna have to fight for their survival in their own party against Paul and the newcomer Teabaggers..

I'd be willing to bet that Palin is just a big distraction for all the liberals. While y'all are paying attention to and hating on her, there will be some Obama like super candidate sprout up out of nowhere and take the country by storm! lol!

Being left of Pailin hardly makes me a Liberal, to most of the country that makes me sane and normal.

I love Pailin, shes the best walking sound byte on Earth. I dont hate her, I hope she sticks around for a long time, we all need a laugh now and again

I lean right and I wouldn't vote for Palin either, just because I wouldn't be able to stand listening to that voice for 8 years!! Palin would be like Perot: split the Republican vote and the Dem slides right in.
I wouldn't go as far as including Miller in as a Tea-loon, he has a good head on his shoulders.

Rubio will be something. He just totally kicked ass. Prediction: 2012 or 16: Rubio-Jindal

INK: How is 50% hit rate bad for a 1 year party? Sounds pretty good to me. Ask Nancy.

No one really expected the Senate to fall. The Democrats doubled down at the right time and held on. The Union goons, MoveOn.org, the ObamaMedia, all those fat corporate donations to PACS that Democrats were screeching about on the Republican side, accepting themselves all the while. In fact, Democrats collected more donations than Republicans this election cycle.

Even so, you woke up to this:

Even the Chosen One called it a "shellacking."

Is that primal enough for you?

the most prominent (and extreme) examples: miller, buck, o'donnell, and angle - all were defeated despite most of them after holding decent leads in the polls.

In the Senate. Not the House. Not the Governor's seats. And not the down ballot races. Hell, the Texas House of Representatives is so red now it looks like a crime scene.

Actually, the Democrats holding the Senate with the sad clown Harry Reid as the Leader is probably good for the Republicans in the long run. Had they prevailed, Obama would be able to point to Congress and whine, "Look at what I have to work with!" He'll do it anyway, but won't carry as much weight.

sure, it was a defeat, the house was pretty bad, but we held onto the senate and still have the whole executive branch.

and you know what they say about having 2 things out of a possible 3?
And one out of three stops the destructive Obama agenda in its tracks.

That ain't bad either.

while you justify your loser existence with notions of "it's all so fucked up" , the real world goes on. everything you call a conspiracy is far from it. in fact it's history. exactly how it was supposed to be. the federal trust is a pillar of a mechanism in the reality we enjoy. if it was your money- wouldn't you want a little say so? it's a fishtank- thats what government is. do you know what happens without a stable control? have you ever been to africa and witnessed the suffering of tribal war? senseless massacre? while you bitch about the government , there are people who educate themselves, get degrees and get jobs where they can actually BE the change you just sit and whine about. also, while you tear down the system from every angle; do you have a better idea? your a hypocrite, do you drive on paved roads? use electricity from a power outlet hooked to the main grid? do you shit on a toilet that flushes? do you shower under running water? these are all advantages of a well governed society . sure there are big problems, that is why instead of bitching , get involved and be a team player if you feel so strongly regarding your political sentiments.
That's the most ignorant thing I've read in awhile. Democracy is a fraud being perpetrated against all of us. It's a dog and pony show. If you took the time to study history, you would know that.

If it were a well governed society there never would have been a war on medicine.

Senator Feingold just got Teabagged.

Speaker Pelosi will move to a smaller office.

I wonder how long Congresswoman Pelosi will hang around?

On with the Teabagging!
She will not leave as long as she can get 50.0000001% of the vote. It is much too lucrative to let go of her power.

Depends on which perception of history you are studying. Liberals and conservatives have very different views on history. Those that rise through the ranks of "academia" are indoctrinated into the leftist mindset. Those that work up through labor learn a "right" thinking mentality. Neither of these extremes seems capable of truly compromising, and thus we see the polarization that is the American political landscape of today.

Centrists tend to have a bit of both in their backgrounds so they can see both sides of an issue. As long as they remain without real representation, we can expect to see the pendulum swing wide to the end.

America is not patient enough for the Tea Party. It would take time for tax cuts and shrinking the government to have a beneficial effect on the economy. In fact, those things will make the economy worse before they would make it better.

The immediate result of shrinking government is higher unemployment. When you eliminate government agencies, not only are you eliminating jobs of federal employees, but you're also eliminating jobs of private contractors who were hired by the government.

Tax cuts may put money in the pockets of investors and businesses, but the number of employees they have and the wages they're paid are a result of supply and demand, not tax rates. No business is going to increase their production and hire a bunch of people unless their is demand for their products. It doesn't matter how low their taxes are. Recently it was reported that American corporations have stock piled a combined total of 1.8 trillion dollars. They have the money to expand and hire people right now. The reason they're not is because of a lack of demand.

I'm not saying that the Tea Party agenda won't work over a longer period of time. I am saying that when Obama couldn't turn the economy around in two years, people soured on him. How much time will the Tea Party have before people sour on them too?

Despite what NOW says, men and women are different. As such, they gravitate to different occupations. Not many women out in the oil patch. And men don't neglect their careers by taking time off when their children are born.

Nature makes the sexes different, not Republicans.

But Uncle Barack would change that wouldn't he?

dear god, someone please allow these insurers to drop me once i get sick! otherwise it will DESTROY AMERICA!
Translation: The profit motive is evil. Everybody who is not affluent is entitled to free everything.

It's our right!

dear god, someone please stop the scary muslimish man from investing in green energy! green energy will DESTROY AMERICA!
If green energy were economically viable everybody would already have solar panels on their own roofs. In order for alternative energy to be able to compete, the Boy Genius must first bankrupt the coal industry - just like he said he planned to do.

Enter Owl Gore with his manufactured global crisis and his Cap and Trade scheme/solution to scare the pudding out of kindergartners with tales of rising oceans and dead polar bears.

dear god, someone stop the scary looking muslims from building a mosque on their own private property! they will DESTROY AMERICA!
No one is saying they can't because the Constitution says they can. What many are saying is they should give our sensibilities the same consideration they demand from us.

you end timers give me a good chuckle.
Saying the sky is blue does not make me an 'end timer.' And neither does my speaking the truth about our Dear Leader.

Now, the repukes/teabaggers will have some direct ownership of the economy. Let us see what transpires. I'll wager they will have no positive effect, and probably a negative effect on the economy. Now in 2012 there will more than likely be a huge surge to the left once again. If not, then after 4-6 years of conservative control, less taxes and less job creation, (AS we've seen with the Bush tax cuts, they did not produce jobs but actually created job losses) The pendulum will again swing left, big time. I doubt the repukes can put forward a ringer for the 2012 election. Let me say, Jeb Bush would be a great choice, the Bushes are billionaires and well liked in conservative circles. He may well be able to defeat Obama with all the outside cash coming in from foriegn countries. The foriegn takeover of America without firing a shot, looking very likely in the near future, well OK, if it hasn't already happened.
