well i don't know about brilliant, but thanks very much barbie. I owe a lot of what i've learned to the fine folks here on RIU. Best part is it IS really easy with DWC. my ph doesn't even seem to move at all in those 10gal rez's. it'll get a little low, i just add back plain water and it's good! thanks for swinging by. grab a seat, it's about to get crazy in that flowering chamber

No LST going on right now. Just topping them about a week or so before they go into flower and they just take off from there. only problem i keep having is trying to control their stretch, but it's just in the genetics. but it's all i got to work with, and i do love working with them

[FONT=&quot]I stopped by the flowering chamber just a little bit ago to check on my girls, ph, temps, water levels you know the drill. Everything is looking good over there right now, no real changes since the last update. However, i started looking at "grandma" (the one in soil, 9 1/2 weeks flower right now) and she's looking pretty close to done. I checked out the trichs and they are about 75% cloudy 25% clear with some amber thrown in here and there. So i pulled a little "tester" bud. letting it dry out right now, but i got a chance to snap a pic to share with you before i left.[/FONT]

Super frosty and very dense. It's some of the best looking bud I've grown yet. Can't wait for the first taste!!

As i'm headed back home with the pics, a good buddy of mine called me up and told me he got his hands on more of that bubba cross i like, and i should come over. so, of course i pulled a u turn and headed straight for his place. sat down with him, smoked a bowl and picked up an 1/8th. As i'm leavin he mentions that he's got 10 seeds from the guy he gets it from that grows is cause he wanted to try and grow them. he'd changed his mind. I talked him into giving me all 10 so I could "throw them in the ground and if they grow then he can get some". pipe dreams of stoners sittin on the couch, he has no idea that i grow

So, now i've got 10 nice little "Bubba Kush x Critical Mass" beans!!!! SCORE

SWEET! I'd love to see the look on his face 4 months from now when (after yielding 20+ oz) you showed up at his front door and dropped a half ounce baggie of fine cured bud in his hands. Just tell him it's a late Christmas present!

thanks for the kind words Dan. You should try dwc some time. I was reluctant at first but once I saw the growth rate and increased yield I don't have any thoughts of going back. You could fit a 5gal bucket in the fridge no problem! That thing is pretty sweet by the way. thanks for checkin in.

Thanks bro. They are lookin pretty good right now. just tryin to control the stretch a little bit more on this round, but i think i've got it figured out. stay tuned and i'll tellya if it works!

Very inspiring system. Like you I've read for 2 months including budgeting for 1 and concluded that DWC is the way to go. No drip! I was considering it at the beginning but not anymore as long as the roots are well undergo.
I will have to use a tent (40"x40"x6') with 1 x 400hps. I have my seedling and clone room already (see the pic) but I have to close it up! Any ideas?
Anyway it's all in the planing stage.
What have you been using for nutrients?

Black and white panda film bro is the best thing to use for what you have........ they go for about 20$ for 20ft roll at your local hydro shop.............

Damn right Adams! Just top feed by hand for a few days until the roots hit the water. Drippers just = more problems. BestBuds is right, panda film is the best way to go for you i think. thick plastic like material thats black on 1 side, white on the other and will light proof it for ya too. pretty cheap. I've been using General Hydroponics 3 part Flora series along with Botanicare Sweet, Botanicare Cal-Mag and Kool Bloom Powder. also basic ph up and down, gen hydro i think. Make sure your temps stay in line in the cab AND you Rez. Stay on top of PH and start your nutes off low and work them up from there. Good luck man, any questions please let me know and i'll do the best i can to help out.

Well hello RIU, welcome back to the garden. Sorry it's been a while since I've updated, but the holidays brought me a little more than cold weather, warm cider and xmas cheer this year. On Dec. 31st at 1:57 pm EST (US) my wife gave birth to our son! A great big 9lb 4oz bundle of pure joy! We named him Logan. He and Mom are both doing great, but needless to say my time has been spent tending to the 2 of them and the journal as well as the garden got pushed to the bottom of the priority list for a few days. Everything is slowly bouncing back to normal (whatever that is) around here. Just snapped some pics, and I promise to have an update real soon. Thanks for checkin in.

Congratulations on being a father man, I myself am a father of two 3 & 5 yrs, and I still remember when they was born, there's is no better feeling when you see the your child for the first time (I'm daydreaming now). And btw he's a big boy @9lbs. I hope he stays healthy and the family as well. Piece of advice bro, try to keep him up during daytime that way he gets to sleep all the way thru the night, I know now he's probably sleeping all day pretty much but once he starts staying up more simply try to keep him upduring the morning so that he's programmed to be up at the same time you guys are up. It really worked for me a lot, both hardly ever wokes us up at night, but she would wake up early @ 6 or 7.... once again congrats bro and I wish your little boy and your wife and you nothing but the best......... oh yeah I forgot I wish your little girls give you something really nice as well man.......
