Watering help

So I know this is going to sound pretty stupid and your probably gonna shake your head at me lol, but i transplanted 4 days ago to a 5 gallon bucket, the soil around the plant is still kind of moist, I was thinking about watering tomorrow and was also going to add some fish fertilizer 5-1-1. How much water do I need to water her with and how much fish fert in the water? Don't want to hurt her at all if I have to wait I will. Also as you can see the 5th node is coming in should I just clip it for my topping? Total newbie here so bare with me

Hey

Tbh i wouldnt have transplanted yet but as you have thats irrelivant now,,, next time i would leave a little longer.

Whats the light cycle now?
How far away is you light?
What blub watts are you currently on?

Plants look nice and green thou so doing well

Bulb is a standard home cfl that's about 5-6 inches away from top of plant. The original container they were in was really really small so I had too. I switched to 18-6 from 24-0 when I transplanted. Transplanted from jiffy seed starter to Dr earths motherland

Stays in between 75-85 in the closet that I'm in. I'm just scared to water because I don't want to over water but I don't want to under water

The question tbat goes throught every growers head at the begining lol

How I did it was.....

feel the weight of the plant now and leave it untill the top inch of the medium is dry looking and i re watered untill root mass was at the bottom then i changed to bottom feeding (i hate that term sounds like i eat through my bum hole, sorry )

Soil plants indoor, probably water once a week. pretend it is just a violet or something. The plant will be better off for a week without disturbances. Make sure to have rocks or something in the bottom of the pot so compacted soil does not block the holes.

The top the soil looks mostly dry except around the plant itself looks kind of moist. How much water do I water it with since she's in a five gallon bucket

Ignore the size of you bucket and look more about the size of the plant. Remember your not growing buckets lol

Water around the base of the plant untill you have roots coming out the drainage holes and then bottom feed or move to a bigger pot depending on how big you want it to get.

I like auto pot systems to be honest once the plant is at a certain stage it will pretty much look after its self and feed whe it wants feeding

Oh ok i understand you.. lol

This is hard because to much at once can be bad for your plant so i would recomend little and often.

I would say half a litre spread in 3 sittings

Keep an eye on the leaves for curling and discoloring to see if youve got it right

I would use max 1 ml per litre of water.

Mix it up first and get your ph and ec right then add 1ml per litre

Are you adding anything else yet?

No nothing else yet not trying to overload on anything then run into a problem and not know where to start to fix it if that made sense lol

Less is sometimes better ive found. I use 2 ml of Canna start per litre for the first 2-3 weeks then i change to my veg nutrients but on less then half the recommended amount and build up. But i never put the amount in it says i always do less unless its lacking something. Are you using a grow system lime auto pot or nft etc ?!?!

Ok but your not making it simple for yourself are you.

Mines simple i fill it up with the right nutriuents and water and let gravity do the rest and they feed when they want and i keep an eye on them. Less messing with them and chamging the temp when ypu open the door.
