Warren Vows Secretary of Education Job Dependent On Random Transexual Child's Personal Approval

Is it mysoginistic to view Warren's policy as illogical, and a bit hysterical?

“I’m gonna have a secretary of education that this young trans person interviews, on my behalf, and only if this person believes that our secretary of education nominee is someone who is committed to creating a welcoming environment, a safe environment, and a full educational curriculum for everyone, will that person actually be advanced to be secretary of education.”

Not sure children are qualified or posses the foresight to be burdened with this power. Not sure singling out trans kids for this burden reflects or is inclusive to the historical slights that rise to greater magnitudes of documented cases concerning public education and other minority communities (ie communities of color). Not sure the criteria for qualification based soley on sexual orientation is logical. Seems like she made it up on the spot. Sounds like a hysterical appeal to the woke community imo. Let's be intelligent with our advocacy for minority rights. Most else what she's ran on is great imo, but as soon as you start going places like this, legitamacy is diminished.

Vote Republicans Out.

Well it is a far better idea that Trump's picking DeVos who wants to funnel all of the public education funding into private schools, or the religious Republicans wanting public school to become an extension of the church.

And like someone said in the Bernie thread, the Senate still has to vote for them to be approved so they will have to be serious.

What if those people who wanted to collectively "educate" their kids via a government run school were allowed to do so and those who didn't weren't bullied into it and simply left free to make their own choices?

As an aside, Elizabeth Warren is a thug and is fine with using guns to threaten (or kill) people who fail to comply with her planned edicts.

Ya DeVos is a joke. I agree, but it has nothing to do with Warrens policy. Can you comment on the argument I made? You don't think it's a political stunt to appeal to the woke crowd? Do you think a 9yr old really is going to be where the buck stops, or should be, or do you think he/she will have any clue what he/she is doing? Honestly, how relevant do you think the opinion of a 3rd grader is? It's a cute gesture, but let's get real, it's quite silly and doesn't make much sense at all.

Maybe it will finally get rid of those pesky racist math and science classes in exchange for smugness 101, and "my mental disorder now controls your life", as well as "the evils of being white, why it's not discrimination to hate white men for the color of their skin and the bodies they were born with"

I don't know if you have ever noticed how serious kids tend to take things when given the opportunity lately, and tbh I haven't looked at that video/speech, so I don't know for sure, but I am guessing that it is not 1 kid making a choice, I would think it would be thousands of kids discussing and voting right? Then that candidate would go to the Senate and have to be voted on so there is still a 'adult' firewall.

Also if it is not just one 3rd grader, that would mean thousands of high schoolers who would really be the ones promoting and choosing right?

Is it a political stunt? Likely, but it doesn't mean it is not worth allowing the future generations to be part of the process.

Its literally one 3rd grade child. The vid is maybe a minute long. The quote was from the end of the vid and what I'm referring to. Its a C-SPAN vid with no comentary but Warren.

I try to quit watching clips, mind posting the entire video. If she said one kid I doubt it isn't bullhsit.

Edit: At least I stopped with the Democratic nominees, there is so much disinformation and selective editing the Foreign trolls pump out that will be used to get Trump re-eleceted that it is hard to trust clips anymore.

No, I think the absolutism is just being cranky and doesn't fit with reality. I think mostly people are ignorant of whats going on outside their little bubble, and it is easier to sell hate against the 'other' than it is to deal with things as they are.
