Things are drying up and greening up there, soon I should think, the Russians are shitting their pants in anticipation, or should be if they have any idea of what is coming. Russian officers should be particularly skittish, anybody who knows what is happening should be, the Russian telegram channel is full of shit but is sometimes very frank about their situation and condition.

It has become a proxy war, but the proxy is more than willing, there is no coercion.
Russia started this conflict, really in 2014, and the Ukrainians weren't happy about it, but they didn't want a war, so they let the russians lie about their referendum, and just cleaned up the mess after the russian staged pro russian demonstrations in eastern Ukraine.
Then putin decided to take the rest of Ukraine, and that was just too much for the Ukrainians to take. They fought back, They asked for help, and we gave it to them them, too slowly at first, but now the backlog in training is the only slowdown, really. They don't want to stop fighting till russia is out of Ukraine, and not likely to come back any time soon. So they fight the war we can't, without risking nuclear disaster, and they do it willingly.
If they change their minds, and decide they want to negotiate, that will be their choice as well, and we should respect that, if that ever comes to pass, but i don't see that, after all the atrocities the russians have inflicted on the Ukrainians.

I wonder if Vlad will cancel the May 9th victory day parade on Red Square? Ukraine could start its offensive with in the next week or two and could be 3 weeks into a military catastrophe for the Russians will mass of troops surrendering in Ukraine on Victory Day! It is hard to imagine a more humiliating situation for Putin, the army going to Hell and the Ukrainians rampaging with blitzkriegs while artillery and missiles pound everything close by. The Ukrainians will make sure there are lots of images and news before or on May 9th, it is also victory day for Ukrainians too, but they will shift that date for future celebration to when the kick the Russians out. Maybe they will keep May 9th day as rubbing it in the Russian's nose day!

Nato forces are on the ground in Ukraine as the leaked documents show and they shouldn't be. Cracks are showing in the NATO and EU members and now the US wants Poland to be another European military might like UK, Germany or France? That's not going to go down well in the future as Poland continues to drift to the far right. Poland is full of neo-Nazis, neo-fascists and ultra-nationalists. Thats a NATO country vs NATO country conflict in the making. Hope the Republicans are not in power when that happens and/or the US drifts way more to the left than they have been in lots of years.
