Most breeders are much to optimistic about their numbers.
Both in yields and weeks 12/12.

And also importantly is the skill of grower to get the best out of any strain.
Sure, but even then there will be strains that basically will yield more, and in a shorter period of 12/12.
And that is the strain I am searching for :)

IME there are too many factors in a 4-5 month grow to count on 8 weeks of flowering. If you grow from seed, it may take a couple of extra weeks to get viable seedlings if you have any issues with germination. If you hit a deficiency in Veg, you may need to delay flipping to flower by a couple of weeks to get the plants healthy again. I figure 4.5 to 5 months from seeds to jars will get it done for most hybrids.

Many of my friends grow on the calender. The know their strain, and give or take 2 or 3 days, they know when their plants will be ready.
The only thing that takes more or less time are their clones. Not all of them get roots at the same time or develop in the same way. But after a few weeks of veg and they think when they are ready, they flip the clock.
Their rooms always have the same temperatures and humidity.
Those strains are for example Super Silver Haze. 9.5 to 10 weeks.
But I am wondering if there is a strain that can do it in 8 weeks.

If you are dead set on a 8 week finish ...you CAN manipulate the last few weeks by stepping the light cycle down .....

example :
12/12 then 11/13 then 10/14 ..... this helps trick flowers into thinking winter is fast approaching and they move to finish faster.

Or look at trainwreck ... 60 day wonder ..... or dwarfy ( good for multi SOG )

No strain is done on any day schedule....

The plant is truly done, when it is done.

I have yet to actually run a quality short time frame plant to actual finish and be a "short time" plant strain.

Basically put....Add at least 2 weeks to everything......

I prefer growing for potentials....not dates.

This has been, and will be, one of the bottom line issues with commercial grows in many places......
Gotta be on schedule!
