Reply to BEARDO: Sorry, but eff the 18, 19, and 20 year olds... they will have their time in the sun. If comparing herb to alcohol (which makes no sense really considering how deadly alcohol is) makes this pass, then so be it. Sucks for the 18-20 crowd, but things really just stay the same for them. While we real adults get to benefit from 19. Considering that 18-20 year old guys tend to be the ones who drink themselves to death at parties and do other idiot late adolescence things, I can see why some would want to limit their intake. I DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS AGE RESTRICTION, but it is better than nothing. I will now have a valid excuse to NOT pass the joint to the young adults at concerts... instead of just "No EFF you" I can say "Sorry, its illegal"...

This whole "you have to get if from a dispensary" is such BS, so I'll call.

We will be allowed to grow on our 5x5s (more if 215). We will be allowed to posses whatever we grown in our 5x5. We will be allowed to posses this Cannabis with us in public, as long as not publicly intoxicated or buzzed driving....

Many people will grow their own, and not have sales receipts, and this does not make their Cannabis illegal. Really? I hate the pot shops too, but misrepresenting 19 with this hate is not helping your side.

A simple picture of you and your 5x5 will clear up where you "obtained" this pot.

Better have paid the city's tax on your 5 by 5 and have your plants tagged

IF (being that regulations, taxes, and fees will be optional) there is a tax I will pay it. And I hope my county does not tax non-sales of Cannabis. If they do, then I'm out. The beauty of a hodge-podge of taxes (there are plenty of downsides too) is that you can move to where the tax set-up is favorable.

do you really think that the towns whose economies depend on pot will discourage people from growing it with excessive taxes?

do you have any citations besides rancho cordova? any at all? please tell us, oh wise one

in any case, your questions are futile at this point. 19 is going to pass, 98%

Congressman Tom Ammiano has taken it upon himself to write an attachment onto prop 19 that ends any lack of clarity in prop 19. It solves pretty much every problem that has been brought up here.

So can we all go back to being on the same side now? I don't see how anyone can have a problem with prop 19 now.

he posted that at 9:07. you said this^^^ at 9:21. i don't see how you could have read all of that huge link and understood it fully, much less have known whether it was even serious and had been voted upon, before posting that.

thanks for the citation. i have family in mendocino and i never heard them mention this tag fee. however, i last talked to them in july and it your article was from 9/12. any idea how long this has been enforced?

I googled tom ammeiano and prop 19 attatchment and read some of the articles...he is pro 19 but he hasn't ammended the bill yet alone ammended it to the point where their is no more debate

Bogus link? It goes directly to the California state senate website. It's a .gov.

And it absolutly does address the problems. It makes possession up to a pound legal. Possession of more than a pound is an infraction ($100 fine). It reduces unlawful cultivation to a misdemeanor. Decriminalizes all possession for people under 21 (no weight limit). Reduces penalty for knowingly selling to a person under 21 to a misdemeanor. It also makes it clear law that prop 19 has no effect on prop 215 so they can't tax medical cannabis sales. Caps the amount you can tax recreational use.

What more could you possibly want? Anyone who's not in favor of prop 19 with Ammiano's cleanup bill attached just flat out supports prohibition. Just like the DEA does.
