So I have three grow lights in my tent
1000w MARS-HYDRO LED. on top!
And (2) 600w MARS-HYDRO LED......... __
ONE on the left & ONE on the right..... I.....I
kind of like this........................................^
Only growing ONE. critical purple (AUTO) plant
In a 10-gal fiber POT. 2×4 grow tent.
Fox farm nutrients. Wondering if I will benefit from the vertical Lighting on the sides? On my last grow I did some lollipopping on the lower 1/3 of the plant and my train of thought is I may not have to because of the side lighting am I correct in this? Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Why not?

Any additional light can only help.

Though, realize that by giving the plant "more" the plant will grow "more" to it's full potential and it may end up becoming to large for your space.

Might have to experiment with a couple grows to get it dialed in so that your plants stay small enough to take advantage of the light fully by training it, pruning it and so fourth, might even end up realising that the side lighting just isn't beneficial after all.

What I am currently playing with, is, cutting every other stem, starting at the very bottom, since I am taking clones anyway, and then alternating as I go up the main stem...

So that way, as you go up the main stem, 2 branches are V, the next set are | then alternate back to V.

So that every other set of branches will give me 2 kolas. that won't be blocked out from the bud on top. Which ALWAYS frustrates me when I look at my plants. I am always like "ok, why did nature make you so that you block your own light out, it doesn't make sense to me."

yes side lighting will help. That’s a lot of light in a 2x4. You will probably have to dim your lights.

in a 10gal pot thattent is going to get stuffed.
might have issues with light distance on your side lights.

I think it depends on what area the plant is gonna cover in that 2ft x 4ft space for starters.
If the plant grows to a 2ft x 2ft area for example that means you have a 1ft space each side of the plant.
At 1ft away from the side of the plant the ts600 hanging vertically will be giving 1000 umols! - at each side.
Combined with the TS 1000 ? overhead at 16" giving ~ 800 umols.
I think that's too much light by far.
I use some side lighting myself but definitely not at that intensity .
Side of my plants get around 500 umols max.

It would work great if you could dim the 600's but I don't think they are dimmable.
Your best bet would be to manipulate the plant and spread it out to cover the 2ft x 4ft area and place all 3 lights above.

You’ve got 350w total with those lights ts1000 is 150w ts600 is 100. I’d put the ts1000 center ceiling, the 600s on each side of it also on the ceiling, dim the 1000 to 80%+- and you’ll have even coverage for flower. The 600s aren’t dimmable so you’ll have to adjust intensity by raising and lowering the light physically. The 1000 is your best bet for seedlings and early veg too since it’s dimmable.

That's actually what I'm hoping for thank you for the reply

Just keep in mind that you have to carefully balance the environment and adding a ton of light will make that harder to do.

I had an explosion of growth on the sides and lower that is usually insignificant, but it dropped RH and raised temperature quite a bit causing some leaf tacos.

I had HLG 240 R Spec hung vertically, dimmed down all the way.

I have a flood table I use in my drain-to-waste system. Instead of popping for extra lights, I just built bounce boards out of cardboard and wrapped them with mylar space blankets. I can move them when I water and position them around to bounce light back up under the canopy where I need.

I thought about running vertical lights, but I’m just not sure it’s needed.
