Vaccinated stay contagious longer than Unvaccinated

They were always trying. They are way more motivated. Think about it... there are tons of film of nazi rallies, marches, etc. but none of their opposition who just wanted to live their lives.

The difference here for the last couple months is there is nobody actively shutting them down.

Damn shame, is what it is. Silence equals consent.
sorry just reading through this thread and I’m lost now - who is they and where do the nazis come in?

So anyways... back to my question and PDF report Post #981, do non US residents see the amount of Pharma advertising that we see here in the U.S.? Not necessarily "Get your booster for Covid", but for anything from depression, skin disorders, migraines, etc?
Only on the US stations I watch. The long list of side effects for most of that shit sounds like the cure is worse than the disease by a mile. not allowed up here in Canukistan. No booze, tobacco or pot ads either.

Really weird thing here is tobacco and pot has to be sold in non-descript packaging so until you look at the label close they all look the same. But alcohol of any type is still sold in the same bottles and colourful cases they have always been sold in. Must have a stronger lobby 'cause it's the worst of the 3 by lots of miles.

I know right?!?... I can't recall a single prescription medication advertised that does not disclose horrific side affects. And you know they had human trials, to discover them. Sad thing is, for a few hundred bucks, you can sign a disclaimer/release should you incur damages.... IF you're still alive by the end of the trial, and people desperate for money sign up for them.

I probably would have been a guinea pig for the cash when I was was young and a lot stupider. Especially if the big side effect was getting stoned off your ass. :)

What I get a kick out of is the warning, " Do not take X if allergic to it or death may result". How the fug do you know you're allergic until you take it? lol Or, ' May cause involuntary movements that may be permanent', for a f'n antidepressant ffs. That would be really depressing! :D

At my age, 68, not being on any pharma drugs is rare and I like it that way. Pot is the cure! Or at least a pleasant way to knock back the symptoms for a while. The side effects of pot are what most people are after anyway. Taking RSO every day kind of spoils the buzz when I toke but I can still feel the different effects each strain has so it's handy for a quick mood fix or relaxing before bed. just little tokes in the pipe most evenings tho sometimes I forget. :)

Must be all those metal tracking particles in the booster. Just kidding folks.. calm down. I don't care if you get the shots or not. That's your choice.
I don't care either way either but at my age with shot lungs getting covid had a lot higher risk of serious illness or death than the shots do and I play the odds so the shot won. At first I wasn't going for it but it was 8 months after they started using it before it became available up here and I did a lot of research while I waited.

Long covid doesn't sound like much fun and there's lots that have that after getting covid and the worst seem to be the unvaxxed. Watched something recently about how many unvaxed younger folks that had mild covid or no symptoms at all are showing ongoing organ disease in blood vessels, heart and lungs. Something like 1 in 5 so it's not insignificant. It is in the herpes family of virus so maybe once you got it it's forever. Early days yet. For all I know the vax will make my dick fall off after 10 years but I barely need it now so not to worried. ;)

He offered me the flu shot at the same time but I've never had one so why start now and if you get both at once and have a bad reaction who do you blame? Seems pretty stupid to me but deemed safe by those in the driver's seat.

Yeah,.. I think if I was older I might consider it.. but other wise, Im healthy, so chose not too. My dad has had all the shots, and boosters, still got it, and ended up in the Hospital. He's got long covid now. Not the active man he was before. But, for a 76 year old, he gets around very well. Last booster had him down for 3 days. I went to check on him because I hadn't seen him in a couple of days, but he was in the recliner with a blanket on.... in Oklahoma, in the middle of July. Hard reaction I guess..

I've had no reaction other than a sore shoulder for 2 days each time but the wife was sick for a couple days with the 3rd shot and first booster so her doc says she shouldn't. She was more reluctant than me to get it and got her first 2 months after me. Happy to have an excuse to not get it and I don't bug her about it. She wears a mask when we go shopping but not the N95 so not much use for her. Neither of us has had covid that we know about. Small town farm country here so not spending much time around others. No outbreaks here for the whole time but an old folks home 20 miles away early in the pandemic. Gov't took it over as it was run like shit and near new facility too.

My mom is 95 now and hasn't had any problems with the vaccines. World traveller for 20 years with her partner so has had every shot in the book. Lives with my little sister back in the Fraser Valley I wish I'd never left. Would be fishing my brains out in my golden years instead of preparing for the deep freeze again. :(

The one that gets me is “extrapyramidal symptoms” … sounds like a horror trope.

To answer your question, no.

The only time I see pharma ads up here is when I’m watching CNN. Lots and lots of pharma ads.

I’m not a killer either, but if someone had a gat in my face… I’d smoke em’ I know some of you big town people don’t have experience with handling guns on a daily basis, but rest assured, if you’re in a grocery store, or restaurant, 8 out of 10 are packin’ I think this is why our gun violence is lower than most. We can open carry, but nobody does. This keeps the mystery open to would be criminals. They have an 80% chance of dying.
Which is why crime and murder rates are higher in red states. But, it's a total mystery to the GOP why America has so many gun deaths. If only we could look elsewhere in the world to figure out how to prevent so many gun deaths... I blame the culture war that Fox and the other right wing propagandists push. Too damn many Americans with a woody over the idea of killing other Americans. As for me, I'd like to live in a country where I did not have to worry about every wing nut carrying a gun to the grocery store.
