UVC Light To Kill Pests?

I did some reading and saw that UVC is lethal to insects even roaches. Does anyone have any experience with using UVC light on Aphid, Mites, etc. I am curious as to how long the aphids or spider mites would need to be exposed to the UVC to be killed or wounded to where they die later, without hurting the plant?


I have this bulb here. Im going to give it a try. Im going to take a leaf off that has a few aphids and put them under a microscope while I put the UVC light to them to see what happens and how long it takes for them to roast.

It didnt do shit even with a 2 minute exposure which would hurt the plant past that.

I have a UVA light for killing powdery mildew, didn't work so hot.

But you peobably gave the aphids cancer they should die in 3-5 years hahaa
